Powered by a 383c.i V8 and backed by a Torqueflite push-button 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine features a 4bbl Edelbrock carburetor, Edelbrock performer intake manifold, and Edelbrock air cleaner.

Features on this car consist of; dual exhaust, power steering, independent front suspension, Chrome Hubcap wheels with whitewall tires. The 1955-1960 DeSoto started 1955 with what was considered a new "forward-look" design compared to its previous years. The design was a success and the car more than doubled in sales in 1955. With a few models available, the high-line car was the Fireflite
