so the map page has been updated explaining how it’s not quite accurate anymore now that instagram has got rid of custom locations. 

the changes to instagram won’t stop or change how dustmonsters works, but it’s definitely a pain to have what was such an easy system made less useful for people wanting to find exactly where they are/were!

if anyone has ideas for how to easily and accurately geotag stuff, please send an email with your suggestions! :)

so it’s not so much that instagram’s custom locations are acting up, it’s more that they’ve intentionally removed the entire feature.

it’s more than just a bit annoying, but it seems as though the photo map still works much the same way as always - so you can still check the map page here and on instagram to track down dustmonsters if you want to!
