Customized Employment and Discovery Training
As part of the Employment First State Leadership Mentoring Program, DIDD is hosting another series of training on Customized Employment and Discovery. For 2016, providers will be able to attend the training in their respective regions. The training will be conducted by ODEP Subject Matter Experts Abby Cooper and Rachel Pollock. Initially, the plan was to conduct the training for four days, however that has changed and the training will now be offered for two full days. See the information below:
Middle Tennessee:
When: March 21 and March 22
Time: March 21 – Begins promptly at 9:00am and includes a working lunch (boxed lunches provided) and ends at 4:30. March 22 begins promptly at 8:30 and includes a break for lunch and ends at 5:30.
Where: Middle Tennessee Regional Office, One Cannon Way Basement, 275 Stewart’s Ferry Pike Nashville, Tennessee
West Tennessee:
When: April 18 to April 19
Time: April 18 - Begins promptly at 9:00am and includes a working lunch (boxed lunches provided) and ends at 4:30. April 19 begins promptly at 8:30 and includes a break for lunch and ends at 5:30.
Where: SRVS Industries Board room, 3971 Knight Arnold Rd. Memphis, Tennessee (near intersection of Knight Arnold and Getwell)
East Tennessee:
When: May 23 to May 24
Time: May 23 - Begins promptly at 9:00am and includes a working lunch (boxed lunches provided) and ends at 4:30. May 24 begins promptly at 8:30 and includes a break for lunch and ends at 5:30.
Where: East Tennessee Regional Office – Knoxville Langley Building, 250 W. Summit Hill Drive Knoxville, Tennessee in the Plaza Level Conference room #106 (Note, you have to pay for parking in the garage)

Please note that the training is not mandatory and that Vocational Rehabilitation has not solidified the number of continuing education credits that will apply to the LOA’s. Priority registration will be given to providers that have not previously attended the training and it is recommended that a minimum of two staff from each provider agency attend. Registration is limited.
