“Gamora,”  she breathed, hovering just out of the woman’s reach. She didn’t know much about the fighter, however from what she’d heard the others say, she could be deadly when she wanted to. “Gamora, wake up,” she said gently. She didn’t know what the effects of the Soul Stone would be, but she couldn't imagine Gamora would rebound quickly from...Whatever happened to them. (Tony had tried to explain, but she didn’t quite understand.) “You’re on Earth. Can you hear me?”

A few years ago, he felt as if his mind was constantly getting blown.  Waking up after being on ice for decades had that effect on a person.  But he was a fast learner --- and he had gotten better at just accepting whatever was thrown his way.

Which was why he didn’t question the sudden appearance of her and her crew (nor the space ship that brought them there).

Instead he concentrated on the fight, turning her when it appeared they were outnumbered. “Steve Rogers --- appreciate the backup, ma’am,” he stated with a nod of his head.  “Would that ship of yours happen to have a really big gun?”

“That’s— That’s a spaceship,” Sam says, stating the obvious. Sure, it probably makes him look all sorts of dumb, but that’s a spaceship. And sure, they’ve got cool technology on earth now, but nothing like that. He looks to the woman in front of him, eyes slightly widened in awe— and not only at the ship, but her too, she has swords on her back and Sam is all kinds of impressed. “So, uh. Is that— Is that yours?” he asks, trying to appear casual, and cool, like someone who would be good to hang around with. Someone you would, who knows, maybe, take on a ride in your cool spaceship.

People from space. To be honest, he wasn’t even surprised. Maybe if this had all happened before the war, he might have been surprised then. But after 100 years, a guy ripping his own face off, his best friend becoming a super soldier, a train fall and all the things he’d witnessed in Wakanda, very little surprised him any more. Of course there were other planets and aliens and talking raccoons and trees. 

As it was, Steve appeared to be locked in conversation with Stark and the space guy that had showed up (human? He looked human, but that might be misleading) and so Bucky found himself standing beside a green woman.

“Uh...hi.”
