I'm currently in animation training at work to refresh my memory on what's useful for animators when I rig characters, and of course the first exercise is THE DREADED, THE CLASSIC
THE BALL
so here's my BALL
STOP-MOTION JUMPSCARE
sharing my stop-motion showreel from my first year of university! genuinely, so tempted to specialise in it. but 2D animation....
Here's an acting exercise I did in toonboom harmony! Trying to build a portfolio while all the animations I'm doing at work will be under a NDA for probably over a year is very challenging :'D but I think this is a good start!
The audio is from a Phineas and Ferb episode and the rig is by Kyu-bum Lee and can be found here
You know, surprised I haven't shared this on here yet. The first time I ever used an xacto knife wasn't for a collage, but a collage-like video. Cut-out animation for a university assignment to demonstrate pixelation, about five years ago. I probably went down the more difficult route by using analogue methods, but this was before I learnt how to use photoshop. Nevertheless, I think it still holds up.
Run cycle animation exercise made in ToonBoom. Awesome rig by @kyubumlee. Mentor @artofpedromarcelino
