“Thimble Cottage got its name because of its 1000 sq. ft. size. It was such a sweet, little place, I told my husband we needed to give it a name,” said owner Robbyn. The adorable little home, built in 1850, is in Marshall, Michigan.

Robbyn says the sweet little house is in an historic community and fits the couple’s needs perfectly.

In 2017 it was part of Marshall, Michigan’s Historic Home tour and over 2000 people toured Thimble Cottage.

Robbyn’s mother is a seamstress and had just given her some of her prized thimbles. The name Thimble Cottage was just floating around in Robbyn’s mind and it stuck.

During the estate sale, some of the former owner’s thimbles were for sale and Robbyn scooped them up.

The cottage was originally built by a man as a home for his mother and himself. Look at the little fireplace.

The dining room comfortably seats 4, and look at the fancy light fixture. 

They also have a table for two in the cozy kitchen.

It has 2 lovely bedrooms with folding doors. Isn’t this cute? And, the bedrooms are a good size, too.

Robbyn said that they had the entire bathroom gutted and remodeled. Doesn’t it look sweet?

The stairway goes to the attic but they don’t go up there much- It’s cold in the winter, and very hot in the summer.

Someone must have had a bedroom up there at one time b/c there is very old wallpaper on the walls. Robbyn crocheted the valance in the attic windows.

Hi friends!

Hope you’re all well. We had a very inspiring visit to the Cotswolds recently, and wanted to share some photos with you from the adorable chocolate box villages we visited. It’s definitely boosted our motivation massively!! We’re currently working on writing quests and finishing up some game mechanics, like potion making. We’ll also add more cottages around Hollowmoor, these characters need a place to live!
