“I don’t know Joonie… He just lays around all day and eats all the food in our fridge….”
Jimin can’t stand to hear anymore. His ears pin back to his head as he stares at himself in the mirror, no longer eavesdropping on your phone call with Namjoon.
He hasn’t been a good boy and you seem fed up with him.
She’s going to take you to the shelter….She’s going to find a better hybrid than you, one who actually helps her….I don’t deserve to be her boyfriend.
Negative thoughts run through the mans head as he messes up his hair, stressed now that you may get rid of him.
No!
He shakes his head, banishing those negative thoughts away.
She can’t get rid of me if I prove my worth!
With new founded motivation, he scurried around his bedroom, picking up all miscellaneous items that shouldn’t be there. He quickly makes up his bed that he’s neglected for weeks since he no longer uses it, since he now uses your bed with you. He gathers all the trash and takes it out- stopping you mid-conversation when you see the now energetic hybrid. You go to question him but he’s already out of your sight, taking the trash out.

It’s been a few days since the phone call with Joonie and Jimin has yet to let down. He’s been constantly picking up new projects; doing the heavy duty yardwork that hasn’t been done since you moved in, fixing the broken cabinets in your house, constantly doing the laundry, anything that could possibly be something you needed to get done.
In the process, Jimin has failed to noticed your worried gaze. One day you get fed up with it and you pulled him aside after he finished his newest project- cleaning your car.
“Hey Jimin, whats going on with you?.. I rarely see you nowadays. “ You pout and feel tears about to pull in your eyes.
You miss your sweet puppy.
Jimin’s foot nervously taps on the wooded floors, watching the shadow of his tail flick back and forth through the flooring.
“Nothings wrong…” He mumbles but you don’t believe it. You put your hand under his chin so he can meet your eyes.
“I don’t believe you.. I never see you anymore and you’re always running around the place. You seem to be avoiding me. You don’t even sleep in my bed anymore. Did I do something?? I miss my Chimmy.” you sniffle and Jimin panics and quickly shushes you. He hates when you cry- especially over him. He curses himself in his head,
You’re supposed to be her good boy!
“No!’ he yells causing you to nearly jump out of your skin. He whines before bowing his head, almost a sign of submission. You heart breaks a little bit.
“Ive been trying to help you more. I.. might’ve heard a bit of your conversation with Namjoon.. Ive been a bad boy. Please don’t send me away.” he cries and you gasp when you realize what he’s referring to.
“What am I going to do with you, silly boy.” you sigh and puts his hands in yours, making Jimin look at you, now confused.
“If you’re going to eavesdrop you might as well listen to the entire conversation .” you tut at him, his distraught and confused look on his face reminds you that there is an actual problem here.
“I was telling Joonie that I thought you were getting depressed since Ive been having to be away more recently with my job. You silly boy, I don’t know what you thought but I wasn’t calling you lazy. I was worried for you. I’m gone all day and I’m worried you’re not getting enough activity since you are part canine while I’m away. I haven’t been able to be active with you and I was worried it was taking a toll on you….” say and play with his fingers, almost shy from the vulnerability.,” I miss the days you’re waiting for me at the door and you give me those big hugs that twirl me around like a princess.” you say quietly, you and Jimin almost nose to nose to each other.
Jimin is a stone for a second, tail and ears frozen in place. Did you break him?
You break his spell when you go to remove your hands, him refusing before his tail starts moving at an impossible speed.
“So.. I haven’t been a bad boy??” he asks, his eyes now holding a light to them that I’ve been missing for days. You giggle and give him an eskimo kiss, the ones you know he loves. He turns to putty in your arms, melting into your arms that he’s been missing for what seems like ages.
“You’re always a good boy, Chimmy. You’re so goofy sometimes.” you giggle as you run your hand furiously between his ears. His ears jump up and he nearly tackles you, you a laughing mess as he nearly wrestles you around on the floor, tickling the mess out of you. He joking nips at your nose and you playfully try to push his face away, both of you laughing to your hearts content.
As you both calm down after playing a bit. You’re both breathing heavily, laying across one another on the floor.
“What do ya say, Chim? Wanna go play around outside with the beautiful newly cut grass that my wonderful boyfriend cut for me” you say as you boop his cute nose, it crunching up under your finger. You smile at his effortless cuteness.
“Hmmm. I think I would like that alot.. And maybe we can take a shower together afterwards.” he wiggles his eyebrows with a playful look on his face. You laugh at his face and push it away.
“In your dreams.” you laugh before jumping up and dashing outside, heading straight for the basket full of different assortment of balls, Jimin right on your heels and he playfully growls and nips at your ear.
“You say that now.” he scoffs,
“Hey! Be a good boy and play with me and maybe you’ll get your reward.”
“As you wish!” before he dashes after the ball you thrown across your backyard, all worries gone from both of you, blissed out in the moment.
