[2/2] If it was the kind of rain that starts off cold, with the wind picking up before the downpour, Dave would stay indoors when the rain actually falls, but would usually sit on the windowsill or porch or something just to enjoy the cold air. When it actually starts raining, he’d troop back inside, curl up with the dog, Karkat, or one of his brothers (and probably bother the shit out of them), and listen to music or read.

He likes the ocean, actually! They lived quite inland back in Russia, and if they did take trips to the beach, he’d just stand and watch the waves. That’s the part he likes best. The sea breeze, and the waves crashing onto the shore.

As much as he likes the ocean, Dave doesn’t like the open sea. l: the dark depths creep him out, and as a bio major, he would, in theory, like to have the oceans explored more (take a fucking seat, space, give the waters a turn), but the thought of what could be down there is daunting. Personally, he hopes the worst is just on Pacific Rim levels, and maybe he could study kaiju in the future.

EXIST lmao Dave is very physically affectionate, even on a platonic level. He likes hugs, kissing friends on both cheeks in greeting, so there’s nothing to earning his platonic affection, really. Romantic, would take time and if he gets to learn that the person could be depended on. As generous as he is about platonic affection, he’s (initially) more reserved about romantic. At least, until it’s established that he has romantic feelings for them, and they’re reciprocated, then he’s just. Lots of PDA. (Not on a public makeout level ofc ;;; but holding hands and little smooches and whatnot)
