An entire box was filled with copies of Dry Top: A Comprehensive Guide

The second box included the following books:

“Edge of Destiny” by Sangjo of Lion’s Arch

“Ghosts of Ascalon” by Dougal Keane

Junundu and Me, an illustrated children’s story. This is a heartwarming tale of friendship and sacrifice between a Kournan girl and a giant wurm.

Oink’s Adventures, an illustrated children’s book about a pig named Oink.

No Moa! by Pitney. A brightly colored children’s book tells the hilarious tale of a moa who constantly gets into trouble and the exasperated farmer who takes care of him.

Flora and Fauna of Kryta. This atlas documents common plants and animals native to Kryta and is full of rich, colorful illustrations and sketches.

We’re heading to the Crystal Desert!

Of all the guilds out there, I couldn’t be happier for @cvik.  We’re going back to the Crystal Desert and heading toward Vabbi and the promise of Elona.  Don’t get me wrong, I love all of the guilds I’m a member of, but I’ve seen the members of @cvik and often thought that something like this would be so perfect for the guild.

On a personal note, I loved Nightfall.  By far it was my favourite expansion from the original Guild Wars.  And to have the chance to go back is so very exciting.

Residents of Ossan!!

While many know of our legendary hospitality which shines as brightly as we, the children of the Sun, far too few know how deeply such a giving can flow.  With that awareness in mind, the Consulate wishes to bring an update of our displaced countrymen from Lake Doric.  Many of our elders, kinsmen, and friends know the distress of being without the familiar comforts of home over the decades. Our hope is the hearts of those of Ossan will once more open in welcome.

Through the generosity of Lady Sayuki of House Lu and other benefactors, housing aid for many individuals will be used to bring a new hope to those struck hardest by the deleterious actions of the White Mantle.  Offering shelter is only the beginning and this is where hope in Ossan blooms.

Any families or individuals willing to open their homes to house an unmet friend-to-be or another family can count on the Consulate to provide a housing makeover. This will include the building of an additional room or attic space to be occupied by the new guest(s)!.  In this way, generosity can give and well as receive in a meaningful way.

The following is a map of the city Amnoon. Refugees from across the Crystal Desert and Elona have congregate in the city. They flee from Palawa Joko’s work farms. They flee from the destruction of Balthazar and the Forged. Some wish to return. Some do not. Some want to leave the region all together.

All of them need aid.

A letter to the Consulate of Vabbi, Istan and Kournan Affairs

A small skritt appears in the main encampment that is the Consulate gathering grounds.  The skritt hands a letter to the first important looking person he finds.  Upon opening it, it contains just a plain letter.

To the Consulate of Vabbi, Istan and Kournan Affairs,

Some of your people have met me.  I am Flintlock Burnfur, a charr raised by the human who is now Sheriff of Dry Top.  I have been exploring the regions of the Crystal Desert and areas south.  I write this letter to give you warning.

As anxious as you most likely are to reach Vabbi, it is rather unsettling.  One first has to cross the Desolation, which in and of itself is no easy task.  The Desolation is aptly named, and it felt like walking through the Flame Citadel at times with dangers at every turn.  It was with great relief that I crossed over into Vabbi.

The region of Vabbi is idealic.  The people are friendly and kind.  But there is also something rather disturbing.  At every doorway, every stair case is a reminder of just who rules this place.  Awakened soldiers are everywhere.  Grifter, Mia and I have had to be careful here, especially when we visited the academy south of the main city.  Mia desperately wanted to correct the instructors that it wasn’t Palawa Joko who defeated Zhaitan or Mordremoth.

While one would want to free these people from such lies and deceptions, I feel as though we’d be replacing one tyrant with another.  This has been particularly upsetting for Mia.  She’s an 11 year old cub, and while she’s quite shy at times, she is also very strong in her opinions.  She doesn’t like the fact the children here are being taught lies in history.  The children here aren’t even taught that there’s anything outside of Vabbi.

I think we’ll be making our way back to Amnoon.  The skritt, who’s name is Terry, may need some time to rest.  It’s been a particular difficult few weeks for him.

We can discuss more on this topic when I return.
