hearing a small knock on the door, kai looked up from the television before walking over. leaning over, he squinted as he looked out the peephole. cordelia wasn't exactly the first person he would've expected to be at his door. their distaste for each other clear the moment they'd met but alas, they couldn't leave each other alone. ⏤ opening the door, kai opened it enough to lean the side of his body against the frame of the door, arms coming up to cross over his chest. "well look who it is," he began, "and to think, i thought coming around here would be slumming it for you." of course, there was no telling if that was true in this instance but that didn't stop kai for the small jab. if anything, this was a peaceful welcome when it came to the two. "so what? got bored? or have you been drinking? imma need you to walk in a straight line, miss." he teased, an almost amused smile crossing his lips. as much as cordelia got on kai's nerves, he would be a liar if he said that he didn't find some entertainment in the pure annoyance and despise the two shared for each other. what could he say? he was an opportunist or... maybe that's what he told himself and what he actually was was... well, insane, sure... but also someone who thrived on things that were off kilter.
