I've been sorting through my photos and I've reduced the first folder of 10000 pictures to 567, and the second one is already below 5000, but man it's weirdly exhausting making that many editorial decisions.
The 567 are also not exactly all print material, just what's good enough to scroll through at the computer, so the next round of selections is coming after I'm done with the first one. Then, actual photo editing (although I've already been making a bunch of quick edits with IrfanView - most images don't need much more than a light touch of contrast and gamma).
I've been pondering getting a photo printer (probably a used Canon Pro 10S) just so I can print a small amount of images without feeling like I'm piling up shipping costs. I think it would be very healing to see real prints, but alas I must await the end of the sortening.
I have taken a few pictures I actually like recently:
...but particularly that last one feels so finicky colorwise that I'm really hesitant to order a print.
