the euphoria label goes far back to 2005 when it was yg entertainment’s first subsidiary label, named jxi entertainment. until seo sunji, the founder of the company decided to disassociate the label’s identity from the major entertainment company in 2009. despite cutting ties from yg entertainment, the major company often transferred ex-trainees to euphoria entertainment, as a form of compensation. the euphoria label successfully debuted their first major artist, seo aram, the founder’s daughter, who was made ceo in 2019, after her father died of an accident. the conclusion of his death was made unsolved, which was later named as one of the most mysterious deaths in the k-pop industry.
