About Cwyllog: from what I can gather online, the character of Cwyllog as Modred's wife seems to be a late welsh addition, dating to a certain welsh antiquarian in the 17-18th century about a parish in Anglesey, Llangwyllog.
The twist is that the real founding saint of that parish is male - a certain Gwrddelw if im not mistaken, another son of Caw.
So seems it's likely "Cwyllog" is a late post-malory character, derived from Geoffrey's Guinevere, rather than the other way around.
EDIT: Am now adding a link to a relevant article [LINK].
one of the funniest things about mordred is how post medieval tradition came up with saint cwyllog as his wife and tumblr came up with galahad as a love interest. imagine being an "in case you haven't noticed im weird i'm a weirdo" guy and everyone assumes you have a catholic kink
