Lowkey gave it my all because it was also part of a personal project to make poster designs, and it gave me one hell of an idea

I think I'm going to make crowsxworst posters designs 👹👹👹 all the cxw nation will be bombed tbh, but love y'all yk🫶🫶🫶✨️✨️✨️

(Also @kb11rd you also inspired me with the idea with one of your Hanachi fanart that's sooo colorful, and I was like, damn, could make a good poster....OH WAIT, so yeah)

WORST (CxW) playing cards came in, and I scanned them for everyone!

+ my thoughts/pointing out details I found awesome

For awhile now, I've been scoping out these playing cards themed around WORST, and finally found a way to get my hands on them (as they were originally out of stock on the site I came across them on or crazily over-priced on other sites *more on that later).

Note: These were included as a supplement with the purchase of the July 2013 Monthly Shonen Champion. So you gotta find it second hand

I believe all of the illustrations are pre-existing (the COLLARS collab Kiyohiro being instantly recognizable to me.... Ofc), but the card designs themselves are something I haven't seen until now.

And that's the reason why I scanned them. Because, originally, I wasn't going to get these if I could find them online. Obviously, did not find them online. Besides some unclear pics from sellers on second-hand sites (The above being an example..). Even if they do exist online, it's a bit hard due to language barrier + the fact that there's a mobile CxW card game. It'd be burried.

I love archiving, I believe everything that had love and effort put into it like this should be archived. The designing and thought put into these cards should be able to be appreciated by anyone who would like to appreciate them.

So, here's a Google Drive folder with all of the cards in high quality (organized by suits) + the outer packaging.

My Thoughts + Cool Details (more pics!)

The more I look at these cards, the more awesome details I notice.. Chat, most of my fixations don't even HAVE merch, so this is really fun to obsess over. That's another reason why I'm being like this ☠️

The first detail I took notice of was the design of the box that holds the card themselves (not the outer packaging I included in the Google Drive). It seems to be a direct reference to SevenStars, the cigarette brand referenced directly in the manga (as it's Hiroshi Takahashi's favorite). This couldddd be a coincidence since playing card boxes in general already look like cigarette boxes due to the size + the tape that holds them on top... But c'monnn.. Am I heard.

Okay NEXT. YOU KNOWWWW I HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THIS. YOU KNOW. DUDE. KIYOSHOU. THEY'RE OF HEARTS!!!!!! OF!!!!! FUCKING!!!!!!! HEARTS!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOUUUU KIDDDINNNGGG ME. ARE YOU JOKING. SERIOUSLY. THEIR GENERATION JUST HADDD TO BE OF HEARTS. THEY HAD TO BE. THEM. OF HEARTS. HEARTS. DUDE. KIYOHIRO, TESSHOU'S JACK!!! HIS!!! I'M! ENDING! MY! SHITTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!! They KNEW not to put Kiyo as the Queen card. I would have Seriously Went Insane (The only reason why they didn't is because of the powerscale... THE ONLY REASON. Which I'll talk about soon)

Also, here's Hanachi. Because they're cute. And we all like Hanachi here. So.

The Umehoshi twins are the joker cards!!! That was such a cool detail to me. The selection of what characters go on which cards was soo purposefulll. I love it

Another thing about the thought behind assignning characters to specific cards... All the ace cards are characters which are seen as the strongest of their generation! Zetton, Guri, Hana, Tsutomu!!! Ughh love. I'm guessing this implies all of the characters of these cards are assigned based on strength? That would be pretty tedious though.. Just know that it definitely applies in this case.

Speaking of generations, each suit is a generation! I forgot to organize it chronologically here, but you can see that hearts, spades, diamonds, and clubs each hold characters from a specific generation.

I also took this picture to acknowledge how gorgeous the designs for the KQJA cards are... Sure, no new illustrations were made according to the original look of playing cards, but the pictures weren't just slapped on plainlyt either (which has been done one too many times I've seen). I really like the coloring and patterns on these.

I'm a total geek about all of this... DONNN'T CAREEE. DOOOON'T CARE. SOMEONE has to be annoying like this. Peace and love everyone🌹

Also, something I noticed (when they restocked at my request) is that they price the item based on the condition that it's in. So that fairness was refreshing to see.

"Hana united Suzuran too easily!" yes that's the point, it was to show how truly respectable and radiant he is. He defies the expectation in Suzuran that physical strength is the only thing that makes a man... A man (or, in other words, it defies Suzuran's value that physical strength is the only thing that truly matters). Basically, Hana was a lesson to Suzuran. *OF COURSE, Suzuran does know HONOR. But there's more to it when it comes to an individual

And that's why Hana IS still exceptionally strong physically, but not in an OP way like Guriko. While Guriko has immense strength, Hana has a balance between the two: physical AND emotional strength. This is also why it took Guriko, the strongest man in Suzuran's eyes (in their value of strictly physical strength), to tell them all that HANA was the one who was truly the strongest.

Hana also losing those two major battles (Guriko and Bisuko), yet still having the strength to keep rising and going on with life is his demonstration of what it's truly like to be a man worthy of respect.

While it does feel anticlimatic, it's inspiring in its own way. Has got to be one of my favorite ways WORST is set apart from other manga.

Gonna go ahead and finally plug this here. I've been working on a multichapter Cosmo and Wanda fluff-smut fic that is now maybe 80% done.

Thanks to the fact that I got hit really hard with FOP nostalgia, and thanks to some other personal factors that have been preventing me from relaxing, I have been cranking this out. 43,000 words in two weeks is INSANE for me, dude.

The fic is a very meandering one. I just write about whatever I feel like. It starts as basic domestic fluff between our two lovers, but then it goes to some crazy places because Cosmo and Wanda are magic. And then it goes into some angsty memory lane shit that doesn't totally belong, but I don't care. FOP fandom has always been about taking tiny hints of lore from the show and blowing it up into something dramatic.

I'm bringing back the domestic fluff next though, and I very much plan to bring it all home soon.
