You might recognize me from somewhere else. I'm trying to start fresh.
Art is still a struggle, but I can't seem to quit it entirely. It's all pretty scary.I don't care about notes, but I do want to get better. Let's all do our best.

Gonna go ahead and finally plug this here. I've been working on a multichapter Cosmo and Wanda fluff-smut fic that is now maybe 80% done.
Thanks to the fact that I got hit really hard with FOP nostalgia, and thanks to some other personal factors that have been preventing me from relaxing, I have been cranking this out. 43,000 words in two weeks is INSANE for me, dude.
The fic is a very meandering one. I just write about whatever I feel like. It starts as basic domestic fluff between our two lovers, but then it goes to some crazy places because Cosmo and Wanda are magic. And then it goes into some angsty memory lane shit that doesn't totally belong, but I don't care. FOP fandom has always been about taking tiny hints of lore from the show and blowing it up into something dramatic.
I'm bringing back the domestic fluff next though, and I very much plan to bring it all home soon.
Negativity, context, and a bonus doodle under the cut~
lol this is so miserably bad. I've been doodling fairies in different styles all week and so when I actually finished their little bodies on this one I was like, yes okay I'll color something. And then I couldn't bring myself to shade it for real; I haven't used Sai in awhile, I have work tomorrow, the drawing is creepy. You know it's bad when you break out the default airbrush for a lightspeed dusting. The irony is that this how I would have unironically shaded them in the 2000s lmao
Anyway if you know anything about me, you know it's incredibly bizarre for me to be drawing Coz & Wan in 2024 after the old show burned me - let alone drawing them fifty times in a row. And if you know me even better than that, you know that FOP was an intrinsic part of my identity during the initial years of its run. Cosmo and Wanda were everythiiiiing to me for a hot minute.
So I gave A New Wish a chance and I am so happy to see that it's so sweet and wholesome, that the fairies have their sparkly goofy souls back. I wrote a bunch of shit about it on Twitter.
Anyway I'll see y'all when I post something else in a year or two. ✨
Edit: actually, no, here's a bonus doodle of them looking generic because I gotta show you i can do "better" (and not draw hands) ahhh

Welp, 'nother chapter, friends. This one has a daring rescue.
As I say on AO3, I'm slow to respond to feedback because I'm always trying to convince myself that I'm scared of being 'seen,' but the truth is that I really, really appreciate it. Thank you so, so much for reading and replying, guys. I hope everyone is doing well. <3

'Nother chapter for ya, kids. With this chapter I am finally finished establishing and setting stuff up. Next chapter is when we start knocking things down. <3
In celebration of the fact that I beat ✨Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War✨ for the very first time last week (and everyone lived!), I wanted to draw Sigurd and Deirdre being happy because...well, ha. You know. INCREDIBLE game tho, loved it.
This has probably been done a hundred times before by people cooler than me, but I wanted to do my own spin on a Sigurd and Deirdre wedding, particularly as a bridal duo for Fire Emblem Heroes. Of course they’ve already been a duo unit, so it would never happen in the actual game, but it was fun.
In a perfect world, I would have also drawn a separate wedding Arvis unit with a flaming invitation as a weapon. That woulda been sick. Maybe someday.
I write long descriptions, so the rest is under the cut.
I thought it’d be interesting if their weapon was one or both of their wedding rings, so maybe a infantry colorless tome. I was originally going to make the rings glow, but then I didn’t, haha. I suck at building units and I’ve never done a theory craft, so I don’t know how to balance stuff. But maybe their special would work like Nosferatu, and maybe their duo skill has a silencing effect on nearby enemy mages for a turn (like Deirdre using the Silence Rod in Chapter 1). Don’t know what the PRF would do. lol the powercreep
Visually I broke FEH tradition by adding so much black to Sigurd’s outfit, what with FEH grooms usually wearing mainly white. But since Sigurd wears so much white all the time in canon, I really wanted to give him a black coat at the very least. Wish I’d gotten more blue in there though.
Lilies are their main flower motif. White lilies represent purity, spirituality, innocence...and they are a common flower used for funerals. huh I wonder why they’re here in this happy wedding picture, hmmmmmmmm :)
For the rest of the bouquet I chose ranunculus (charm, attraction), lilacs (innocence, first love), amaranth (immortality....lol i’m terrible), ivy (eternal love...fidelity...oh god), and finally - are you ready for this - forget-me-nots. 83
Final notes: I haven’t regularly drawn anime faces in many many years, and cannot draw them now. I tried to make them happy squinty...did not take. Their faces look bad, I accept this. I made that lily pattern you see in the background and on Sigurd’s cape...and because I made it myself by god I was going to overuse it. I hate the decorations on Sigurd’s gauntlets, but I just got so tired.
And yeahhhh, that’s it. Didn’t mean to spend so much time on this. But here we are. Yay FE4. It’d be neat to do more fanart someday. 💙💜💙
Hi Tumblr, here is a mess. Ugly colors that I did not correct, that pose that mutated into a walking pose so it doesn’t look like walking, and everything else, I am sorry.
Nah but I’ve been meaning to force myself to draw more men, because I can’t draw them at all, and I thought a good way to practice would be to doodle some Fire Emblem husbandos. I...still didn’t look at references of real men basically at all, so uh
Anyway, Saber is my #1 boy from Shadows of Valentia, have you heard his voice, good gosh. Dunno if there will be more husbandos to come, but if there are, maybe they’ll be better next time.
p.s. tumblr despises the mechanical pencil brush i use, so image looks better opened in another tab
I took a rare peek at some of my old art, and I found these drawings from when I was a teenager. I will not tell you how old I was then and how old I am now, because...well not a lot of progress there. BUT!
I’m not sure if she ever had a backstory or a name (Luna, maybe), but I thought it would be fun to redraw her. She’s clearly a medley of all the things I adored the most at the time: Sailor Moon, Final Fantasy, those Hot Topic armbands I used to wear religiously every day.
What I learned from this experience is that I still can’t be arsed to actually draw buckles or zippers, like really sketch out squares with volume and perspective because, no. Also discovered that I will never stop doing space backgrounds exactly the way I always have.
Most hilarious of all: I forgot to do the symbol on her forehead. Every other change was on purpose. I didn’t sign the work because I don’t want to be associated with this character design out of the proper context. Lol bye!
I have been meaning to finish and post Fire Emblem fanart for what feels like a long time. Especially Claudeleth. <3 And...well, I wish it had turned out better. But my sloppy Frankenstein way of adjusting proportions and colors tends to make things worse and worse, and I had to stop. Got so lazy. I can draw Claude better than that...I think. I ruined him by screwing with this and that. Not a super lively sketch either.
Originally I thought Byleth might be reading a tactics book, but then I thought, she probably didn’t read much fiction growing up, being an emotionless killing machine mercenary. And as a professor all of her reading time would have been tactics, history, and religion. So it is now my headcanon that Claude encouraged Byleth to read more fiction, and they enjoy stories together.
I didn’t know what to do for a background...and then it started to look like a book page...and I thought, well, I hate myself, it’s past midnight, let’s handwrite a bunch of text lol
Around the holidays Mickey always carries a sprig of mistletoe in his pocket. After all these years he still manages to find the most artful ways to surprise Minnie with it.
Did this quick and cheap today over like, six snuck-in-between-family-activities hours. So lots of things I’d fix if I could see straight right now. Among other things I find it impossible to show Minnie bending her leg while she’s in a dress (same thing happened in the birthday picture). Outfits are based off of the best Mickey and Minnie wrapping paper I ever had.
A lot of the characters in Encanto are so loveable, and Dolores is no exception. When you first look at her you see tall hair and pronounced ears, and you can’t help but assume that the movie is going to treat her as comic relief and nothing else.
But no, she’s so sweet and interesting, and she’s taken just as seriously as everybody else. Not to mention all the thought put into her design. Just a wonderful character.
I wish I’d done better with this, but I was trying to rush something out because I’m supposed to be doing other things. It was fun though. Dolores! <3
I’ve drawn these outfits before a long time ago, but I wanted to take another crack at it. Wish I’d made Mickey’s coattails bigger, among other things. But it’s somethin’.
p.s. I really don’t know how to get around Tumblr’s image quality without shrinking the pic to oblivion, so the textures might be better if you open the pic in a different window. pft
Never too late for a Halloween picture, I hope. This was a last minute thing I sketched the day before. Based on some of my favorite outfits to ever grace Halloween at the Disney Parks.
The last time I drew these outfits I tried to redesign Minnie’s outfit, but I wanted to try again with something a little more like Mickey’s suit. Her dress on the original merchandise is a wonderful design, but I always feel bummed that a lot of Minnie’s dresses for the parks are just color swaps of her default look.
I wish I had made the lines thicker, and I’m not satisfied with the background colors, but I needed to move on. Happy Belated Halloween <3
