When I was doing my Hawaiian-style Tomo-chan a while ago, I really wanted to use a honu (turtle) design on her pareo. However, I remembered Kei-kun and how the turtle motif would probably fit her better, so I decided that I was gonna put Kei in a pareo too!! Though, this time Tomoko-chan is in a flowy dress, but that’s more because I thought she’d look really nice in a chiffon beach kind of dress haha. I tried my best to allude to semi-transparency of the fabric but I’m not too sure. I think I just made it more of an ombré instead, haha 💕

Soooo! After being out of comission health wise for quite some time I finally got around to translating at least the first chapter of CYB. There are more chapters to come and I'll definitely keep up the work! Thanks again for letting me do this @cyb-by-lang!

For @cyb-by-lang, it looks like my previous magnum opus will have to take a step down because the whole group of Team Minato plus Rin and Tomoko are stepping in! I don’t think I’ll get this much time to work on such a large piece in a while, considering this is the first time I’ve tried to color five characters all at once (while not using any real references aside from body poses from Google Search). Nonetheless, it paid off! Everyone’s here, and the time spent has been very much worth it.

Uh... when the other sects come, she gets lost (the place is big alright?) and inevitably gets flirted by WWX? and LWJ is low-key seething?? With JC just So Done(tm) of WWX???

Lan Yue? As her name-name? Idk for her courtesy name. Gotta be two-three syllables tho
Can recognize WWX ‘cause sensor-skillz and LWJ’s mannerisms. Also, why the heck is his golden core missing? (Golden core reveal? YunmengJiang sibs angst??)
Probs won’t wear the same clothes as post-timeskip LWJ and LXC. Wears the same as the junior’s (the slitted kimono stuff w/ pants?) but with, idk, more designs? And longer??
Her headband is, uh, with clouds. Like LSZ despite not being a real Lan.
Has a pet turtle who remarkably acts similar to Isobu. Is seen usually on top of her head.
Gets mistaken as a boy, still. (LXC is inwardly cackling whenever this happens, don’t let his smile fool you)
Bad feeling with JGY, like with Teach in Ocean Stars Falling.

A sequel of sorts to one of my previous submissions, after a few OC asks sent by Lang and Beta, I got inspiration to draw Hikari and Miyako together again in full-color, especially after their recent spotlight in the latest chapter of The Sea and Stars.
Taking from this link for reference, Hikari and Miyako are around their early twenties in this piece, having not yet married their husbands. The flowers pictured here are references to the women themselves and the lives they’ve led, with the Pink Gladiolus standing for Hikari’s ‘moral strength’ and the Red Spider Lily for Miyako’s ‘lost memory’ in flower language (which for CYB fans that have read the B-Plot Side Story starring Miyako, you know what that means).
Drawing these two women in full-color was very much worth it. Now I need to get to doing the fathers at one point...
