What can you tell us about the Malgus versions of Codexa, Lio Minor, Domitius Major and Minimus Ambus?
Dear Minor Master,
As you may recall, these four Minors all worked in Autobot boot camp under the command of Nova Prime, working together to drill new Autobots. Each brought their own idiosyncratic approach to the job—but although they frequently argued with one another over the “best” way to teach freshly-forged Autobots, they were united in their purpose… and, later, their shared dislike for Sentinel Minor.
Despite his diminutive size, Minimus Minor is a stern and capable leader with a fearsome command of military law. His training regimens placed a heavy emphasis on the theoretical—Autobots who trained under his exacting standards participated in both live-fire drills and lengthy written exams regarding the minutiae of the Autobot code and its applicability in everyday life. Notable graduates include Dropforge, Strong Arm, and Crosshairs.
In the immediate aftermath of the Great War, Domitius took part in a campaign to storm a Decepticon holdout led by the Decepticon lieutenant Magmatron. When their leader Slammoth fell in battle, Domitius stepped up in his place and was able to return Magmatron to Cybertron in chains. As a teacher, Domitius takes the “tough-love” approach with new Autobots—he’s surly and takes little guff from his students, but despite this he cares deeply for every new Autobot that passes his way. He’s tutored more students than almost any other instructor at the academy—notable graduates include Stampy, Heinrad, Colada, and Break.
Codexa took an academic approach—a good Autobot should not just be able to assemble a path blaster or field-strip an ion rifle, they should also be able to recite notable historical events from memory. New Autobots under her command spent almost as much time studying in Iacon’s Hall of Records as they did practicing on the shooting range. As a teacher, Codexa was patient, forgiving, and always encouraging—she was perhaps the harshest critic of Sentinel Minor, whose approach to team-building revolved around chores and transform-ups. Some of her most notable students took after her love of learning—these include Perceptor, Botanica, Proxima, and Arcee.
Finally, Lio Minor was an exemplary Autobot who’d previously served with the Elite Guard during the Great War—an acquaintance of Yoketron’s, he’d identified those rare Autobots who didn’t fit in with the established command structure and recommended they transfer to the Cyber-Dojo, where Yoketron could work with them on a more individual basis. After the end of the conflict, he took on a less active role within the Autobot government by training new recruits. Despite his great skills, his time in the war had left him emotionally distant from his fellow Autobots; his high standards meant that he only took on the best of the best students, those rare ‘bots destined for Primehood or even a potential future Magnus.
