War had rung from the depths of hell, soldiers of bone and goo springing to life at the wave of his skeleton hand’s command. Their feet marched down the barren path as King dawned his battle attire. Helmet sharp as bone itself, a black slick cape that would announce his arrival just by walking by as Skeleton King held his mighty staff proudly within his fingers. The echos of battle and stomping of the ground causing the very essence that made the creature's core almost rejoice in glee.
No matter how many times those primates took him down, how hard they tried to defend this pathetic wasteland of Shuggazoom and the universe they would continue to crumble and wither away with every wasted opportunity.
His own life the best revenge to cast upon foolish believers of hope and truth.
Pathetic.
Walking out into the field himself his eyes narrowed down the pathway that led to the Super Robot, the hunk of metal daring to stand by mighty and tall in his presence. No matter, the bigger they were the more satisfying its defeat. Moving through the sea of soldiers as these parted ways for their royal deadly-ness to make his way to the front lines, the King smirk. His eyes catching that orange scarf blowing in the wind was their eyes locked.
“Our reunions keep gaining more spectacle by the decade, wouldn’t you agree my boy?”
There’s was a cruel and delicious irony in getting joy from the look of terror upon the youth’s face, on how the group of scrap metal gathered around their mortal chosen one as if they could stand between their destinies.
Lifting an arm the army behind him halted, the light in their eyes disappearing as the skeletal beings stood like statues waiting for an order.
“It seems that my rebirth has gave me a mercy slate, and I shall bestow it upon you at this very moment. Prepare your battle, gain your allies and build your mightest weapons. I will not interfere in your quest to defeat me, there will be no chase, there will be no dirty tricks.
You do what you must to stand before me, and I shall do the same. I will use what’s mine to take you down, the simple souls and soldiers you see behind me. Anything that has my name written in their history will be my weapon.
And that will be all.”
Waving his hand once more the group of soldiers turned around, marching back inside the castle that rose from hell along with its master.
“Mandarin, retrieve my things.”
One more second, no, not even a lifetime would have given her enough insight to watch her back, the shudder that ran through her body disguised behind the pure shock and horror of the condescending tone the villain before them took. The beating of her heart so high it drowned everything around her down.
She should have known.
Should have been more careful.
There was nothing Jinmay could do at that point but scream.
With a joyful cackle, the Orange monkey struck, jumping from behind the shadows as his ears rang with a delightful all too familiar tone as his claws dug into the back of the robot girl’s chest, ripping through the robot from behind and slashing through its frame as the monkey ran back to his owner.
Something lodged between the slobbery lips and sharp fangs of the beast as his four paws dug into the ground before climbing down the side of Skeleton King’s cape.
Opening his mouth the monkey smirked, a large metallic bulb falling into the clutches of his King with a mighty laugh.
“Everything that has my name..belongs to me.” Gripping the robotic appendage between large bony fingers the Skeleton’s nails dug into the object, effectively squashing it within his palm.
