their most recent battle had been a difficult one-- feeling like they had torn through millions of skeleton king’s minions. sprx himself had it especially rough, as he threw himself into battle and likely had killed the most formless out of any of the teammates. one in particular had gotten to him-- the last of the bunch. on command, it showed the skeleton kings face and laughed, reminding the monkey team that this fight was still not over. this was only a single battle in a series, making up one long war that they had no choice but to wage.
raising his magnets at the last formless, he cried out in frustration while firing at it repeatedly, even after it was obviously destroyed. he was sick of this war-- sick of feeling like he was just cleaning up after his own gigantic mess-- sick of being constantly reminded of the skeleton king threat. in fact, after the initial rush of adrenaline, sprx felt physically ill-- his ears ringing and his head spinning. he felt like he was going to either panic or pass out until gibson took hold of his arm.
“ g--gibs-- ” he muttered, only just hearing his teammate suggest bedrest. slowly nodding, he wouldn’t even try and resist as gibson took him away from the battlefield and into the super robot.
