Twilight - Analog vs. Digital
Tentative final draft.
I added a few slight twists as I combined the cybergrunge and analog variants.

... and once again, a few hours after something goes up, it suddenly stops working. And it doesn’t matter how much I try to re-upload the file, the post just stops (*&%ing working.
Gyah. I’m glad I thought to check by the blog after I got home from work today. I’ve been under a lot of stress at work, but after tomorrow I’ll be out of work for the summer. (My day job is on a college campus.) Which... actually kinda sucks. I’m not sure how I’m going to survive. I haven’t had the energy to look for another job. I haven’t had the energy to keep up with this blog. I normally try to keep 2-3 weeks of posts in the queue, and I’m down to one more post in the queue. Instead of my usual 14 to 20+.
So... yeah. I’m going to be trying to figure out something for a side hustle this summer, I guess. Welcome to our cyberpunk life.
And of course, I have some added stress because of political bullshit at work. But that’s a rant for another day.
Rough draft of a new piece. Trying to go for a slightly more synthwave/retrowave style. For once, I decided to step away from the typical 808 and 909 drum machine, and I used samples from an Alesis HR 16. (Thank you, DSK.)
*Post stopped working for some reason. Yay Tumblr. repost is here.*
Neon Streets - Sync draft
Not sure how much I like this one… but I’m continuing to play with the Neon Streets theme. Sticking with a somewhat blues/jazz style for the actual music itself, but using the cyberpunk instruments to transform it into something else.
*Fixing previous post*
Cyberpunk/noir writing prompt:
The asphalt soaks up the heat from what little sun makes it down here past the towers. The rest of the heat comes from the air conditioning from the towers. It’s not just warm down here, it’s damp too. The sweat sticks to things. You feel gummy. But that’s just how life is down here.
*Accidentally posted the wrong sound file. D’oh. Tumblr won’t let me fix it, so I reuploaded the post here.*
Cyberpunk/Noir writing prompt
That was it. We were too late. It was all gone.
Sometimes it doesn’t matter how hard you work. How much you want it. Sometimes, you lose.
