Now what if i said that Cain losing his shit in the last bit before he got deleted gave off the vibes of an autistic person just.having enough and i said i related to it a bit(cough cough the autistic experience of just.relating to any non-human entity that doesnt fully get the whole “being human” thing). And what if i doubled down and said ppl only focusing on his crashout and him “becoming AM” was reflective of some ppl not rlly caring abt neurodivergent ppl until they flip their lid, is this anything or am i looking too deep into this?
“Marathon killed destiny” it’s been 12 years, destiny 2 has been going for 12 years and has been in the shitter for the better part or 6 of those 12 years, did we just conveniently forget that within the span of 24 hours??? It was bound to end at some point better it end now before it goes any further down the shitter man
Smth ive noticed with certain with spec evo projects that have a sophont(sapient species)is that quite a lot of people immediately jump to centaurism and effectively make alien centaurs. It’s common enough that i think the 3 most common body plans ive seen for(at least vertebrate)sophonts are either humanoid, sauroid(built like a theropod dinosaur)or a centaur of some sort. This isnt a me bitching about that i just think it’s fascinating that a lot of ppl who didnt want to go with a bipedal species just default to a centaur, nothing wrong with having any sort of body plan for your sophonts theyre alien there rlly aint any rules to fullow and the rules that ARE there are only there if youre going for scientific accuracy to one extent or another. I think i only have 2 species that could be consideree centaurs(Ruhod and Dhid(granted Dhid isnt actually an alien he’s a seedworld descendent of glaucus atlanticus)the rest are either humanoid or based on another animals body plan, and ykw i think we need more species that can walk on both all fours and bipedally like some hadrosaurs did, that way you can keep the limb count conservative while still having dextrous arms/hands without making the species humanoid.
TL;DR Ive noticed a trend of spec evo folks making aliens that’re just alien centaurs and i think it’s neat that so many of us came to the same conclusion for body plans foe our space blorbos :3
Man Halo and Marathon both coexisting as their own respective franchises is rlly ironic in a neat way when you know their history. 2 games that used to be so connected in countless ways from original lore to nods to one another across all their games back in the 90s and early 2000s and now circa 2026 here they are, both on completely different ends of what was once the console wars and are both so completely different from one another in so many ways from aesthetics to game genre. They used to be basically the same thing and have now evolved into such distinct games it’s beautiful to watch unfold as a longtime fan of Halo and a recent fan of Marathon who’s only just recently learned their story :3

More sci fi needs to do what Marathon did and have cyberneticaly enhanced corpse super soldiers, not only that but also(if you wanna follow in their footsteps further)have said cybernetics/tech be from a bygone godlike civilization. Like you cant say that zombie cyborg super soldiers doesnt sound cool you just cant.
Plus there’s fun topics to discuss here. Things like the ethics and morals of reanimating the dead, the of possibility stripping one of their autonomy, exploring how some might and might not like being brought back, existential crises of both being a cyborg and being undead, critiques on how the military doesnt like letting soldiers go and will use any means to keep you in service if possible etc etc etc :3
Im being so deadass when i say i just might make a new micro label for myself in particular bc nonbinary and demiboy aint rlly cutting it anymore(/lh). Because it ISNT just that im genderless but still feel a strong connection to masculinity/being a man i still AM a man but am ALSO a genderless thingamawhatsit™️ at the same time and i need a label that clarifies that. Idk if i’ll follow up on it but still fjdndrn
