today it occurred to me that Tumblr is like a cyber train that we all got on at different times for different reasons and we all disembark at our stop. then we get back on and so on. and the other riders are all universes unto themselves but paths cross and ideas are exchanged. some of us become connected and ride together, look forward to seeing each others thoughts. we are all conversing but sometimes it is in unconventional ways. some people overlap in Venn ways, others are such worlds apart its hard to believe they/we are the same species. sometimes people get off the train and never come back. ha, maybe they caught a better ride elsewhere.
don't you sometimes feel like an anthropologist? sometimes i laugh in awe and think: imagine what it would be like to be a god like the way some people believe in god. sitting (or floating, what have you) there listening to so much noise. so much pleading and declaring. so much beauty and so much ugliness. so much sorrow and selfishness and kindness and lostness and striving. everybody the centre of their own universe and often unaware of the totally similar or alien universes surrounding them. like cells with functions unaware of the body. the body is god? anyway, really, imagine it. some of those blogs you see and you think wth are you from another planet? some people are clearly insane. once in a while someone is kindred and you feel so relieved. the good thing is that after a time you know which train lines to stay on for the best ride. there are so many planets on this planet. so many universes. i notice countless funny little things like how that one kid (okay i better look it up)... Zayn Malik probably has more fans than all the other guys but i would never have guessed it until all the arabic Tumblrs hit my radar for a short spell and , well, all these girls in the middle east and india and pakistan are mooning over him. oh and korea believe it or not. did you even consider that saudi teenage girls are loving them some Zayn as all these things about the middle east come up on the news? maybe they are wearing a black hijab and walking behind dad and thinking about Zayn! what?? and then i notice things about the difference in followers from different countries and how differently they see the world. how culture affects people. that has always fascinated me. who are you when you subtract all the artifice? the things they focus more on because of their culture. my girls in _____, no more bloooooood and gore. jeez. are you being raised by elchupacabra or what over there? and i think it's cool to have people whose lives are so far away in countries i've never even consciously thought about before and suddenly you're sitting here beside me somehow. but yeah, it's like a train.
alll aboarrrrd ha ha ha ha, ay ay ay ay ay...
sorry, a little ozzy humour. i'm not a big fan or anything but, well it popped in my head. we're going off the rails on the crazy train! ;) well some of you are. i have finally decided i am pretty sane. just too much going on in the thoughts-n-observations factory mostly, that's all.
i've actually learned a lot about a lot here. it's fertilizer for my philosophizing ways.
