Guardians of the Galaxy AU in which Tadashi is Star-Lord, Hiro is Rocket Raccoon, Baymax is Groot, Wasabi is Drax, and GoGo is Gamora. Hiro is Terran, like Tadashi, but he was kidnapped for the purpose of experimentation and was left a cyborg with no memory of earth.

Honey and Fred seem to be sitting this one out though huh? :( darn the Guardians for not having enough team members for all of the bh6 to fit. I can’t really see them fitting anywhere else either. Unless perhaps Honey is that one commander woman who wears white who I can’t remember the name of, and Fred is the captain who has to say “well I don’t think anyone is 100% a” and you know how it goes. Yeah hey there they go, Fred and Honey. they’re in the AU now. boop!

Tadashi, once he meets Hiro though, spends a lot of time trying to teach him about earth. “This is the planet where you’re from, don’t you want to know about it!” but Hiro is just. stubborn as hell. “nope. stop talking about Earth to me” and he shuts down Tadashi’s attempts every single time. Until one time the truth comes out after Tadashi confesses that he just wanted another Terran to share things with, and Hiro breaks down like with Rocket’s break down, and Hiro just blurts out “I didn’t ask to be made into this! I didn’t ask to lose my memories or be taken from my home planet! I want you to stop so I don’t know what I could have had if I wasn’t made into this.... this THING that I am!” 

Tadashi doesn’t try to forcibly tell him abut earth anymore after that. But now that they both understand each other a bit more, sometimes Hiro will let Tadashi show him small things or tell him funny stories from when he had still been on earth. Hiro really likes Tadashi’s walkman and the music tapes he has.

Imagine enhancements AU Hiro sticking himself to the ceiling with his microbots and then the police come in because they heard about a cyborg group being in the area and Hiro's like 'yeah I'm trying to work out where they went too'. He's upside down. He doesn't seem to care.

The police finally throw up their hands and leave. They give up. There is now a standard policy in place that if an officer arrives on scene and spots Hiro, they just leave. No one is qualified to deal with his level of crazy.

That one magitek cyborgs AU would probably have Aunt Cass training the boys by telling Hiro 'try and get the gummy bear from me, while Tadashi tries to stop you'. Tadashi's not allowed to just tell Hiro to not get the gummy bear, or to touch the gummy bear. At first he just freezes up, then he starts doing stuff like hugging Hiro (and holding him out of reach of the gummy bear).

Awww, non-violence methods, atta boy Tadashi. That’s using your noodle instead of your terrifying violent magic cyborg powers XD

There’s still a music montage though, right? Because everyone knows you need a music montage when you’re training

Magitek Cyborgs AU: Yeah, they're traumatized. Aunt Cass takes weeks to realise that it was Tadashi who was the cause of the mangled mess in Hiro's room; she just figured that someone had attacked and Tadashi had managed to drive them off. She gives the boys a big hug upon realising that their situation had been so bad that they felt they HAD to do that, but only after promising to teach Tadashi how to use only enough force to make people back off, and no more.

And thus, TRAINING MONTAGE! Oh man, now I want to see a scene where it’s Aunt Cass training them like Phil in Hercules or something, just bossing these super powerful kids around even though she’s smaller and weaker because they love her and respect her, and she knows what she’s doing.

Plus Aunt Cass in a sweatband with a whistle, shouting at them through a megaphone. What’s not to love?

Enhancements AU: The hot sauce thing was actually Hiro breaking people out of the mind control with hot sauce. The spiciness results in a dopamine rush, cancelling out the mind control.

When trying to apprehend (not kill, if they killed the mind control would have a hold) the earlier ‘batches’ of cyborgs, at first the Nerd Herd are basically homeless because everyone panics if they go near. Eventually they manage to apprehend a few cyborgs in a supermarket, and if the weird tiny cyborg who has arms of microbots and is controlling a whole horde of microbots needs hot sauce, well, he needs hot sauce, right?By that point some of Hiro’s microbots are acting weird and he knows that he doesn’t really need the hot sauce, anything that took the edge off of the pressure the mind control feels like would work and he knows EXACTLY what he could do to break that cycle, but he’s gonna be a good example and use the hot sauce. And he’ll make sure that all the other cyborgs there have enough hot sauce first, and he says he’ll try to pay as soon as he can.So when the police arrive, there’s a cyborg tied up in microbots, being begged by a cyborg with microbot arms to take a sip of hot sauce, while a bunch of other cyborgs beg the microbot cyborg to just drink the hot sauce already, Hiro, the police can give this weird wolverine claws flying cyborg hot sauce later! And then Baymax shows up and is like, ‘Hiro your blood sugar is very low and you are underweight. Please eat something. ’ So the Nerd Herd are let back into their homesand Hiro eats like 4 plates of Aunt Cass’s hot wings when he gets home, before deciding to make some of his fighting robots into defenders of the city and giving Honey Lemon something that actually fits her chemistry major (her super suit) to go with the wings and claws she got from Yokai. So Yokai, who also has a microbots upgrade (!) on a different frequency to Hiro, ends up fighting the cyborg Nerd Herd and the police. Also Yama got involved too.

Yama’s unique enhancement is being linked to a huge horde of battle-bots, lots of which are based of off the Nerd Herd’s designs. Mostly Hiro’s. Yokai and Yama share enhanced strength and being linked and to everyone’s mind control systems (to give them orders) . Yokai and Yama aren’t mind controlled. Yokai gets night vision, both infrared and normal, as well.

I’m just picturing the confused looks on the polices’ faces when they rush into the supermarket, ready fight some evil robot people, only to find some kid trying to force-feed other robot people hot sauce. It’s like a really weird intense frat boy prank gone horribly wrong.

AU where Hiro is captured by some sort of terrorist organization (Yokai is involved) and forced to first design some form of mind control (it involves messing with dopamine levels, so the affected would be massively rewarded for following the orders and punished for not) and cybernetic enhancements. Eventually, after several weeks of Hiro trying (and failing) to escape (tranq darts are involved) Hiro is knocked out (more darts) and when he wakes up, his arms are replaced by (1)

(2) (pointy) microbots, his legs have rocket boots added, his skeleton’s been reinforced, and who knows what else, apart from the fact that he’s gotten the mind control thing, too. Only, he MADE it. He KNOWS the loophole. Well, loopholes. Several loopholes, in fact. So he breaks as many of the fellow transformees out as possible, before the mind control has a chance to be ‘set’ as it were, and escapes. Only to find that the earlier batches are terrorizing San Fransokyo.(3) That new batch was the Nerd Herd. All of it. Wasabi’s got lasers and plasma cannons, Gogo’s got the disks, all of them have armour grafted to their skin and skeleton reinforcements, Fred has enhanced reflexes and fire as well as claws and infrared vision. Cue massive battle as these freed transformees fight the brainwashed ones. (Hiro manages to break like 3 out with hot sauce. )

And that’s why you watch Mythbusters kids, because some day you may need to break your brainwashed and cybernetically enhanced friends out of prison with hot sauce so you can save the world.

Also I just absolutely love how it’s just “Tranq dars are involved” and “more darts” so casually because of COURSE tranq darts are involved. It’s HIRO. ALL THE TRANQ DARTS ARE NECESSARY.

Cyborg Hiro AU: oh gosh, Hiro would use ALL that knowledge to fit utterly bizarre stuff into the suits. Like, all the suits would be full on full-body armour (even Fred's, it's Kevlar) and they would ALL have actuators and stuff in them for enhanced strength and EVERYONE would have a NC transmitter (different frequencies) so they could remotely control their suit if needed, and Fred's one means that the tail of the suit is an extra limb. Oh god, there's be rockets and wings on ALL the suits.

Cyborg Hiro eventually removes the plasma cannon because half the time, he’s knocked on his butt by the recoil.

Cyborg Hiro would, by the time of the second Big Hero 6 vs Yokai and Yama confrontation, have gotten his headband transmitter upgraded into an implant so it wouldn’t fall off. Mostly because it had, in fact, fallen off once. That was embarrassing. He still wore a headband because by that point his head felt naked without it, plus backup transmitter, plus it filtered out the annoying sensory noise from Yokai’s microbots.

Eventually Tadashi just gives up on being surprised by anything Hiro does. Oh, his prosthetics can turn into lightsabres now? Okay. He somehow made it so that Fred can ACTUALLY breathe fire with some sort of rebreather device? Fine. He gave the coffee machine an AI so that it will deliver coffee when you need it so that you don’t have to get up and make it yourself? Sure.

All a normal day in the Hamada household.

AU where Hiro runs into the fire instead of Tadashi, then tries to run out but gets pinned by debris when almost out. Tadashi gets some burns from the explosion, but Hiro is comatose for a month naturally and another week induced. He lost sight in one eye, hearing in both his ears from the explosion, he's badly burnt, and his arms and legs had to be amputated a bit above the knee/elbow. By the time he wakes up, Tadashi's got his arm prosthetics done and linked to a neurocranial transmitter. (1)

(Trying to put things in order, hopefully I got it right. There was some cut and pasting involved.)

(2/5): (Hiro’s injuries included having his ears burnt off and his eardrums burst, being blinded in one eye, and he got pinned by debris at about mid-thigh so his legs had to be removed from around there. And then when the explosion happened, Hiro’s arms were protecting his head, and they got very mangled too, from a bit above the elbow. Tadashi made him prosthetic arms, using a neuro-cranial transmitter so he could control them.)(3/5): Yama and his thugs, along with Yokai, launch a full-scale terrorist attack on San Fransokyo, which means that it takes them a bit longer to start causing huge amounts of havoc than in the movie. Yama probably stole stuff from the Nerd Herd as well, though, and Yokai’s got more than just the microbots arming him. (Hope the extra member, the extra time to make the suits, and the various upgrades Hiro gives his cybernetics level the playing field. )(4/5): And then the transmitter means that Hiro gets the shakes around large numbers of microbots. (Also he was in a coma for like 5 weeks, part of it was an induced coma though. He had to get his bionic eye fitted! And his new arms! ) Hiro ends up making his own prosthetic legs. He uses that to track down Yokai. (5/5): Hiro can control the microbots with the transmitter linked to his arms and legs, but Yokai’s transmitter is specially linked to the microbots, so Hiro has to override that, which he can do if the mircobots are up to about a meter away from him. The final battle is interesting. There’s thugs everywhere, Yokai’s got armour and battlebots, but the Big Hero 7 has had more time to work on their gear. And also Tadashi. Tadashi is a big help. 

Oh my gosh, so Hiro sort of ends up being CYBORG Hiro? Hot damn, I dig it. He would trick out his prosthetics with all kinds of tech until he’s basically a walking technological swiss-army-knife. Tadashi has to keep telling him to STOP HIRO NO YOUR ARMS DO NOT NEED PLASMA CANNONS, HOW WOULD THAT EVEN WORK THEY WON’T FIT.

And then Hiro manages to fit in Plasma Cannons anyways. BECAUSE HE CAN.

(Also Tadashi would develop the best hearing aids ever because he’s learned a lot between making Baymax and Hiro’s initial prosthetics and so he puts that to practice and it works amazing and Hiro won’t admit it but he’s secretly so relieved because there’s no such thing as cybernetic EARS so he thought he’d never hear again and he’s so happy. Tadashi pretends he doesn’t see Hiro crying a little. Mostly because he’s crying a little himself)
