Greyscale + Gradient Map vs. My Coloring style - Joe Shimamura (Cyborg 009)

Did a little "coloring" experiment. I wanted to see how different the coloring results would end up, where I did one sample using the greyscale method + using a gradient map and the other using my regular coloring style. Turns out there is a difference!

I like both results, and there's definitely more I could learn and try to combine from both sides.

Since summer, I started rewatching "Cyborg 009" (2001) because I was trying to prove a point regarding a statement from my sister about said show. Turns out... I got hooked again. This was a childhood show that I rarely managed to watch, but I remembered it. And I've been watching more adaptations since I finished the 2001 show.

Working my way through the 1979 adaption currently, and boy is that a gold mine for certain things!

I kinda worked my ass off for this special project of me drawing all the Joes from each animated adaptation, including the upcoming Cyborg 009: Nemesis.

I'm pretty proud of the '01 GODS WAR piece, it took me hours to get the water right...
