loving and being passionate about something is so so complex. With those great highs can come great lows. Doesn't mean it isn't worth it. Just that it's difficult sometimes. It's not always pretty and comfortable.

Yeah, that’s true.  It is difficult, or it can be.  That’s the thing, it is complicated.  Sometimes being passionate means being passionately pissed, I guess.  And this is honestly the exact sort of thing I’m so used to hearing, I think, so it’s tiring.  Again, the idea that the fact that I’m upset or feeling anything other than positive means that I shouldn’t even be here . . . it comes up a lot.

Yuuuup exactly, they can just talk circles all day about who they're really doing this for, who their fans are/aren't, and just reshape reality to their whims apparently. Yeah, this is exactly what it looks like to me.  And the kind of fan they don’t want is honestly ANY kind of fan who’s going to critique them in any way, ever, whether male or female, young or old.  But honestly that last sentence is really . . . kind of exactly what it feels like to me.  Kind of sums it up.
