If Nene, Emu, Toya and Akito's designs are based on the C/GO set, how does that work for Nene and Emu's ears and lack of tail?

Within the world of CybreRock, there are things called "cyber shells". These are gear items, and add significant protection to you. Primarily, they're used to add armour to animal traits, though sometimes Humans wear them for places such as the chest or groin area just for safety.

Emu's ears have a custom set made by the Asahina's ((reminder that Mafuyu was adopted by the Asahina's in this AU, so the last name isn't void's birth one)). Her tail is non-existent, and why will be covered in the fic at some point.

In some dire yet not super extreme cases, animal traits can be replaced cyber prosthetics. Nene lost her fox ears as a young child, but was quickly gotten to the Asahina's to gain cyber prosthetics. She didn't lose any of her hearing, a very lucky girl. Nene and Rui both only have one trait, an EXTREMELY rare occurrence within the same district without it being different generations.

does toya have a prosthetic arm? :^]

Yes! All of Squad CGO uses the trained cards from the Close Game/Offline game event in Project SEKAI (their code names are also the Costume Names for Nene, Toya and Emu).

And both in the costume and trained card art, Toya's left arm (right in the image facing the viewer) has a cybernetic prosthetic or cybernetic shell of some sort.

Due to this, I figured having it not just be an aesthetic thing, but an actual prosthetic would be best. Plus, now he matches Emu in a strange and surprising way, not that where we are in released chapters has either of them know it yet.

what dog breed are akito and ena?

The fun thing about the animalfolk/beastfolk is that even if you're whole family is one sub-breed, you may not be.

Ena is a German Shepherd while Akito is an Akina. Their mother was a Golden Retriever and their father was a Corgie.

Family genes will only dictate what breed you are (ex: if two dogfolk have a child, it will not be a catfolk without both of them having recessive catfolk genes).
