If Nene, Emu, Toya and Akito's designs are based on the C/GO set, how does that work for Nene and Emu's ears and lack of tail?

Within the world of CybreRock, there are things called "cyber shells". These are gear items, and add significant protection to you. Primarily, they're used to add armour to animal traits, though sometimes Humans wear them for places such as the chest or groin area just for safety.

Emu's ears have a custom set made by the Asahina's ((reminder that Mafuyu was adopted by the Asahina's in this AU, so the last name isn't void's birth one)). Her tail is non-existent, and why will be covered in the fic at some point.

In some dire yet not super extreme cases, animal traits can be replaced cyber prosthetics. Nene lost her fox ears as a young child, but was quickly gotten to the Asahina's to gain cyber prosthetics. She didn't lose any of her hearing, a very lucky girl. Nene and Rui both only have one trait, an EXTREMELY rare occurrence within the same district without it being different generations.

does toya have a prosthetic arm? :^]

Yes! All of Squad CGO uses the trained cards from the Close Game/Offline game event in Project SEKAI (their code names are also the Costume Names for Nene, Toya and Emu).

And both in the costume and trained card art, Toya's left arm (right in the image facing the viewer) has a cybernetic prosthetic or cybernetic shell of some sort.

Due to this, I figured having it not just be an aesthetic thing, but an actual prosthetic would be best. Plus, now he matches Emu in a strange and surprising way, not that where we are in released chapters has either of them know it yet.

what dog breed are akito and ena?

The fun thing about the animalfolk/beastfolk is that even if you're whole family is one sub-breed, you may not be.

Ena is a German Shepherd while Akito is an Akina. Their mother was a Golden Retriever and their father was a Corgie.

Family genes will only dictate what breed you are (ex: if two dogfolk have a child, it will not be a catfolk without both of them having recessive catfolk genes).

how did animalfolk come to be? where they always there, or did an event happen later that had them come into existence?

No recorded documentation is around for how they came to be in the world itself. So, while it has a backstory, not a single person in the universe of CybreRock knows...

Buuut, if you went back in time, to when around when the first one was found... The ancestors of the Otori and Aoyagi families biologically created them. The first ever was essentially just a lycanthrope (werewolf). Originally the purpose was to make "ethical slaves" or simply just to make soldiers, but over time, the beastfolk evolved to be by all actual means equal to normal humans.

CybreRock takes place technically in the 30th century, but within the 25th century, there was actually 50 years of total equality with ranks between humans and beastfolk. Unfortunately, once a war broke out, humans were forced to rely on beastfolk for survival, once more ruining the equality balance.

wait ok what about the living situation for the rebels :0

The Rebels do not have as kind a living situation as the Syndicate, but they have a more complex structure as well.

The Rebellion has created an underground sanctuary just under the sewers. It's not nearly as nice as the actual city, but it's the width of the city and safe.

Most rooms are out-coves with sheets for doors and a small bell outside to substitute knocking.

Rebels can choose to live alone or with someone else, most who belong to a Squad choosing to live with one or all of their squad mates.

On the rare occasion that they have a good reason, a rebel can take an old cell and use it as a room. Emu is a prime example of this, taking a small cell next to all the ones the prisoner reside in as her own.

What are all the squads in the rebellion?

I'll give you a 2 for one special here.

The Rebellion units (with canon characters) are:

• CGO (Nene, Touya, Emu, Akito)

• Nightshade (Ena, Mafuyu, Mizuki, Kanade)

• Flyway (Honami, Len, Luka, Miku)

Saki is not on a Squad.

The Syndicate has no real method of making their groups, but theirs are:

• Meiko and Kaito

• Tsukasa and Rui

• An and Kohane

• More More Jump

• Ichika and Shiho

Rin is considered enough of a liability that she's forced to stay in the dorm building and hand out assignments.

I wonder why the Syndicate thinks of Rin as a liability though... 🤭

totally asking for a friend lol 👀 how does one become a rebellion squad member? (*cough*andaretheyaccepting*cough*)

The way the Rebellion works is to become a Squad member, you need to pass a test with a minimum score. You're then put in a Squad with your "rank" of the squad being based on test scores

They have a test of 5 elements.

For example: CGO's squad order is Nene, Toya, Emu, Akito.

Nene had the best score, only really scoring lower on the last part.

Akito and Emu both tied but were less than Touya. Ena only put Emu before Akito because her two of the tests being a little more important.

The tests are:

- Damage Output (DPS)

- Agility

- Stamina

- Stealth

- Interrogation Immunity

The last test is literally they give you info and then you are intensely interrogated by Ena's team about it. The longer it takes to make you crack under the pressure, the higher your score.

And here's a fun fact. Both Emu and Akito tied exactly on that one! Both also have a higher score than even Ena does, and she *runs* the Rebellion!!!

As for are they accepting members, Ena refuses to let anyone younger than 16 apply for being a Squad member. Len is a special case, being 15. However, Len is also an Android, and was quite literally built to fight, so she's less worried about him.

Can people from the Syndicate be revived in the Rebellion's respawn pods and vice versa?

Yes, they can!!

However, unlike if it was a Respawn Pod in their own base, they have to be put in physically. This because they are not linked to the system running the opposing Respawn Pods.

If someone swaps sides, they have to be put in a database for the team their joining and removed from the one their leaving.

The Syndicate is always usually late to removing members from their database. Meanwhile, the Rebellion has a pause mechanism in place for when members become captured.
