1. Sophie

The main reason Sophie gets my FCO this week is that she’s showing a completely different side to her while nailing the shot in the process. Her face is absolutely ferocious and her eyes are boring straight into the camera. Her bone structure has never looked better and the snarl/growl is believable. I don’t mind the loss of neck since she’s committing so strongly to the primal hunched forward position. One problem is that the dress isn’t being shown to its full potential, but I like that she remembered to stick her lower half off to the side and extend her leg outward to sell the shoe and not lose too much of her height. Sophie had been struggling in the past two photoshoots so I’m so glad that she stepped back up to frontrunner status with this picture.

2. Annaliese

Yay Annaliese! Her body looks incredible in that dress and the color of the garment looks stunning on her. The pose is super fun: the side tooch is wonderful and I love the cutesy way she’s pulling on her hair. The energy and joyfulness in her face is great as well. The thing keeping her from claiming the FCO for the week is that she lost her neck (which I can’t forgive since she’s in an upright position) and I think her eyes should’ve been connecting more directly with the camera. Those are minor nitpicks though and it was an extremely tough call between her and Sophie. This is one of my favorite shots of Annaliese and it was the beginning of her rising underdog charge towards the finale.

Sidenote: this might be my favorite shot of the cycle simply for how hilarious everyone in the background is. Everything about it is absolutely hysterical!

3. Eboni

Eboni used to be my FCO for the week. Her photo is absolutely bananas in an amazing way, but it’s not without flaws. The major issues I have is that she isn’t tooching as much as many of the other girls and the dress isn’t the main focus. However, Eboni immediately leaps off the page and her pose is so unusual and creative. I love the angles of her limbs and everything she’s doing is super dynamic. Her face is a complete knockout too, she’s serving intensity while not not losing control due to the extreme pose. This was one of Eboni’s peaks in the competition.

4. Seymone

Seymone’s picture is almost great, but a few things keep it from getting to that level. She should’ve done the same thing but either on the table or in the space in front; she doesn’t stand out from the crowd as much and the glass in front of her booty doesn’t help either. I also feel like the styling put her at a disadvantage: the sparkly dress looked good in person, but on film the silver color is a bit dull compared to all colors happening around her. Her face is gorgeous but the expression is slightly too tense. Still, the pose is crazy and I’m in love with the effortless backbend. It’s not quite second call-out worthy but it’s one of Seymone’s stronger photos.

5. Catherine

Catherine did okay. She’s tooching and the pose is somewhat extreme without going super crazy. Her face is strong and she’s commanding the shot even with the craziness going on around her. I think the dress could look a bit better but the pose still works alright for it. Catherine’s shot doesn’t stand out from the rest of the bunch but overall it’s pretty solid.

6. Laura

This is my least favorite shot of Laura in the competition. The angles of her limbs all seem off to me and the backbend is so forced and ungraceful. It’s like she tried throwing everything at the wall and hoped for something to stick instead of actually thinking about what would look good. While her face is beautiful here it’s not enough to save the shot. This picture may have been Laura’s low point but at least it’s still a big step above the disasters ranked below her.

7. Kyle

Kyle’s shot is equally as horrendous as Alisha’s. What the fuck is that pose? It looks like she dislocated her hip, plus the limp arm and the strange angle of her head in relation to her body aren’t doing her any favors either. The dress looks horrible and the meat on her shoulder is bugging the heck out of me. I’m not sure what she was going for with that expression, but at least she’s connecting well. Despite this dumpster fire of a photo I would’ve given Kyle another chance. Her portfolio was sort of hit or miss, but her hits were quite stellar and her overall body of work was better than several other girls.

8. Alisha

Alisha should’ve been sent home at this point. Despite her massive potential her only good performance was her music video; the rest of her portfolio ranged from mediocre to dookie. Anyway, this is the weakest shot in the bunch. She looks so stiff and she’s shrinking into her shoulders. Her neck is nonexistent and I don’t feel any commitment in the the clenched hand or feigned facial intensity. The dress doesn’t look great and overall this shot is too tense. Alisha was lucky to survive this week.
