I wanted to imagine Jackie’s mom for no good reason, and being terrible at imagining things like that, I asked @h2so366 for help. The eventual design was adapted for vector work, and I certainly did it no justice.
Nonetheless, Jackie has a mother now. We’ve called her Catherine. Will we see more? Perhaps.

Catherine was a funny case because she was robbed in the sense that a couple of weaker girls outlasted her on the actual show, but in the grand scheme of things 6th place was the correct spot for her to finish relative to the entire cast. She was mostly consistent throughout her run and only had a couple dips in her portfolio: Very.com and Silk Dresses, the latter most likely being sabotage anyway. While her photos were generally solid on a week to week basis I can’t say that she had a standout moment outside of the music video (although her Maple Syrup shot came close). Catherine had a unique look that stood out even more after her amazing makeover, and it translated well onto film most of the time. However, she was lacking when it came to her skills on the runway. She struggled with balance which appeared to stem from her lack of confidence, but even when she was steady on her feet her walk was rather weak (this was most apparent at the Dorchester challenge). If Catherine had a better walk she probably would’ve jumped up a spot in this final ranking. Her overall body of work was definitely the top third of the cast and I sort of wish we could’ve seen more of her in Macau, but it wasn’t meant to be. Catherine seemed to be a pleasant enough person. I liked how she never got directly involved with any drama, and while she was very competitive she was still a very sweet girl (I particularly loved how she cheered on the rest of the girls in the Toronto castings and how she complimented AzMarie after the challenge). She was one of the more mature girls in the cast, and like nearly all the British girls her screen time was often humorous.

I know that Catherine was a disaster on set but they definitely did not pick her best possible shot this week in order to ensure her elimination. Her pose is super wooden and I hate the weird hand and the lazily held fan. She didn’t bring any shape to the dress either. And dear god that face. It’s honestly appalling, her eyes are void of anything and the way the light is hitting her is making her look like a melting wax figure. Catherine had the weakest photo but she deserved to last longer than Alisha or Eboni. This was blatant sabotage.

I’m confused by Catherine this week. She seemed to be excelling on set but had a mediocre picture picked out for panel, yet still ended up being called 3rd anyway. It’s hard to tell if she was being thrown under the bus yet haha. Anyway, this is fine. She’s bringing some edge with her facial expression and her cheekbones are crazy amazing. The jump is okay and it works well for the outfit, but it kind of just looks like she jumped and smacked into a super clear window. I think if Catherine had loosened up about 25% she would’ve deserved her top 3 placement by the panel.

Catherine did okay. She’s tooching and the pose is somewhat extreme without going super crazy. Her face is strong and she’s commanding the shot even with the craziness going on around her. I think the dress could look a bit better but the pose still works alright for it. Catherine’s shot doesn’t stand out from the rest of the bunch but overall it’s pretty solid.
