9. Phil
Phil fits the setting super well but I don’t really see a model in this shot. His pose make him look sort of tiny and he’s not showing the clothes well. However, his face has some decent intensity and I like his connection with Nina. It’s one of Phil’s better shots in his portfolio, but the fact that he’s still below the halfway point in my call-out on one of his best weeks speaks volumes.
1. Jourdan
Jourdan almost looks like a guest working model who was brought in to pose with Chris. Her body is just ridiculous and the clothes look stunning on her. I love the laidback nature of her pose and how the wind is moving her hair. Her face is just the icing on the cake; the distant look in her eyes is so beautiful and her cheekbones caught the light flawlessly. Jourdan really stepped up to the plate this week and instantly became a frontrunner with this shot.
3. Jiana
The Top 3 shots are all on equal footing for me, they all really wowed me. Jiana kills it for the third week running! Her pose is oozing sexuality without being sleazy and she has legs for days. The entire outfit is being shown super well and this would definitely work as a fashion ad. I also love her interaction with Marvin. Once again her face is stunning and her eyes are so fierce. I had Jiana pegged as a potential finale contender by this point, I just wish she had kept it up.
2. Nina
Nina has finally arrived! She’s perfectly blending trailer trash with fashion. Everything about the pose is super cute, from the kicked out knee to the way she’s clutching her jacket. The curves of her pose really draw attention to the clothes as well. I don’t mind the pouty lips at all and she’s bringing some great intensity with her stunning eyes instead of just relying on a wide-eyed stare. I was somewhat indifferent towards Nina before this, but her performance this week brought me totally onboard.
5. Kanani
Kanani majorly outperformed everyone else in the shot. Her simple pose is full of attitude and she’s selling every part of her outfit. The short hair really compliments her face and the light is hitting her well, but I could use just a little more energy in her stare. It’s by far Kanani’s best performance to date and one of my favorite shots in her portfolio.
6. Chris H.
Chris looks pretty good here, and even though he’s behind Jourdan I think he’s selling his outfit well (especially those shoes). I wanted more from his face though. His bone structure photographed well and I like the moody expression, but his eyes are simultaneously unfocused and overly squinted. Not a very exciting photo, but he does look like a model in it.
7. Don
I like how relaxed Don looks even though he’s sitting forward (take notes Mike). His face is gorgeous as usual, but I don’t think he’s pushing enough and I’m left slightly underwhelmed. He also could’ve found the light with his face and body better. It’s a big improvement over last week at least!
8. Chlea
Chlea’s body looks awesome in the swimsuit, the simple pose works fine, and the angle of her face is spot on. There’s not much else to say. It’s not the most interesting shot in the world, but there’s not any major flaws. Too bad Chlea didn’t do this sooner, she would most likely still be in the running.
