10. Gina

All I can read on Gina’s face is embarassement and fear of falling. And even if the smile would have the brightest and most genuine in the world, it would have been completely off concept as it doesn’t conveys Sleeping Beauty at all. And it wasn’t the most difficult character to portray, so it’s a disapointing performance from Gina. And if the face doesn’t convince me at all, the body doesn’t either. The limbs just feel stiff and awkward, and the way she displays the dress isn’t really flattering.

01. Jade

This photograph is blowing me away. It’s so typically over the top dramatically fierce, but it’s done perfectly right. Jade totally had the best outfit to work with, but she’s making the best out of it. The way the cape is flowing on the side and frames her face is amazing, and I love how the red lipstich reminds of its colour. Her limbs placement is extremely dynamic and makes the picture come alive. And in the middle of that, Jade’s face is piercing through the lens. Her expression is so strong and the angle of it captures her bone structure beautifully. This is such an iconic picture from Jade.

02. Danielle

The top 2 shots this week were in a completely different league ahead of anyone else. And this picture shows that simplicity just works. Danielle probably had the simplest pose of the bunch, she isn’t throwing crazy shapes with her arms, yet sshe still looks fabulous. It doesn’t even look like she’s falling, but rather that she’s casually floating in the air. I love the raised leg, the regal attitude, as well as the use of the prop. And once again, Danielle’s face is looking drop dead gorgeous, she angled it perfectly. Yet another hit in our winner’s portfolio.

03. Furonda

Technically, this shot is far weaker than many I’ve placed below, but for some reason the shot still works as it leaves me a stronger impression. Furonda’s limbs are looking quite stiff, but the overall picture remain extremely elegant, which I love. The dress looks wonderful, and Furonda soft yet confident facial expression is to die for, and I’m loving the hairs in front of her face. All of that just gives this shot a serene quality that really draws me in.

04. Leslie

Leslie is a really sexy wolf in this picture. Her pose exudes sex appeal, every inches of her body is perfectly placed and showcase her curves brilliantly, while making her look really tall. I especially love the fact that you can see the commitment to the delicateness reaching her fingertips. The minor issue keeping this shot from cracking the top 3 is the slightly excessive ammount of tension in her neck along with her face. The expression was almost there, but her eyes are looking quite uneven and the right one seems really sleepy.

05. Sara

This photo should have been Sara’s selected shot for the doll photoshoot ! Her body language reminds me so much of a marionette thrown in the air with the way her limbs seem to randomly fall with her, and I really like that about the photo, it adds a whimsical vibe to the overall picture (and really compliments the tacky styling, so she deserves credit for making that cheap outfit work). But like many other girls this week, Sara lost composure over her face, and looks quite unsure of herself.

06. Joanie

Joanie’s body positionning is on point : I love the extended legs, and how it display the dress in such an elegant way despite the fact she’s falling. Then, the graceful arms with the bent wrists only had to the quality of the body language. What bothers me though is her face. It’s rather expressionless, and her chin looks unflattering from that angle. It seems that Joanie focused so much on getting the body positionning right that she forgot to model with her face.

08. Nenna

I used to really like this shot of Nenna, as she creating a graceful curve with her arms that goes along really well with the vivid  fabrics flowing arround her and making her look like she’s floating on an colourful cloud. Unfortunately, the great body language is dragged down by the lifeless face. There is no expression in her eyes, and her face has been caught at a wrong angle as it looks weirdly round. It really lowers the quality of what could have been an incredible photograph.
