If you asked her why this entire festival was themed around melons, Mu’d shrug her shoulders and drag you to another melon-themed ride to enjoy - it was unique, thematically, but it was really charming! Better than fish, am I right?
She’s been wandering the stalls laid out on the beach, keeping her hood drawn up and over her face to shelter it from the scorching sun, and following a peculiar set of footprints left around the market and the festival attractions. It was like an adventure of her own! Like the kid with the hat’s murder mystery movie, except with a totally different setting and no murder; unless whatever was leaving the footprints was murderer.
She took another chomp of the melon slices she carried in her hand and uttered a hasty, “Comin’ through!” as she snuck behind some of the stalls, catching a glimpse of a red tail sneaking away. Mu slowed her steps, golden eyes gleaming with curiosity. Whether the creature knew that she was hot on their trail or not, she was determined to say hi to it. So, as Mu arrived at an empty decorative boat, she peeked up over the edge and ...
... Saw ... something - a cat? a slug? - sitting there.
She couldn’t help but stare, and after a moment, slowly reached out a slice of melon and wiggled it, murmuring softly, “Here, kitty kitty!”
