My mother loved this and had a printed poster framed in our kitchen. As a kid I was fascinated with the mole on her chin. Was it a cleft, mole, a pimple, a skin tag??? My eyes would follow the flow of the hair as I had to sit at the table. (Poor ADHD brain)

In this poster for British company Cycles Perfecta, Mucha expresses the freedom and exhilaration associated with riding a bicycle. The stylised golden hair, one of the hallmarks of his female figures, inhabits the entire poster and lends a sense of motion to the composition.

I absolutely love the style of this poster design. It’s an advertisement for the British bike company, Perfecta, and was painted by Czech artist Alphonse Mucha in 1902. The use of colour and the delicate, flowing line style give the subject an elegant and laid back feel.

I recently went to the LACMA and in the art nouveau exhibit I saw Cycles Perfecta by Alphonse Mucha and Palais de la Danse by Emmanuel-Joseph-Raphael Orazi and I thought they would look beautiful side by side as companions!!
