hansa was a little bit early, but her morning was not very busy and she skipped making any stops to go straight to rosie's. she was excited to see sabine, already sipping at a soda while she looks over a menu she practically has memorized. when she decided to leave home and had no idea what to do, it felt almost fate to find someone to give her some direction. who more than her own parents, understood her, and didn't judge her for her mistakes. her years spent moving from place to place before finding portum would probably not be possible if sabine had not taught her how to continue on, even when she didn't want to. a hand is waved when the other gorgon walks in, giving her a squeeze before they sit; a rarity for hansa. ❝ a very interesting phoenix came in this morning. just in singed shorts that weren't shorts before they were burned.❞ she lets out a quick laugh. ❝ how was your day? — i feel like i want everything. ❞ her attention goes to the menu again, looking it over. it'd been a while since she'd been to rosie's, besides her standing reservations with sabine. she'd been missing the diner as of late.

Closed starter with Sabine ( @cynefins )

This moon was a rough one. She'd woken up some miles away from the Portum border, caked in dirt and blood. Initially, she didn't give the blood much thought. In her dazed state, she hardly registered it as her own. Full moons were sometimes hit or miss, she didn't always remember everything. But she did always remember something. And that was the thing. She remembered coming across another wolf. And then...well, nothing.

Judging by her injuries alone, it wasn't hard to connect the dots. Clearly, she'd picked a fight with another wolf. Idiot. She couldn't very well go home to her sister without fixing herself up first. So she headed for Portum Veterinary, knowing that she would be alone there. Skylar was never great at asking for help. There was no problem she couldn't face herself. She was however, a lefty, and her left arm seemed to be deposed at the moment.

It was late and to be honest, Sabine was the only person she could think to call. After sending a series of concerning texts to Sabine with no answer, Skylar decided her best option would be to take a temporary nap on the cool tile floor. That seemed to help with the pain. She was probably going to need stitches. But that was a problem for future Skylar to deal with.
