Cyneric
Cyneric is an Anglo-Saxon masculine name composed of cyne (royal) and ric (king).
Variants:
Cyneric [John Kemble 1848 Codex Diplomaticus Aevi Saxonici 6: 22].
Cyn(e)ric [Henry Harrison 1907-1918 Surnames of the United Kingdom 1: 247].
Cynerīc [Percy Reaney 1958 A Dictionary of Surnames, 1st edition, page 189].
Cyneríċ [Oswin Kinsey 2016 English Compound Names, 2nd edition, page 74].
Prototheme:
Cyne = royal [Grant Allen 1884 Anglo-Saxon Britain, page 196].
Deuterotheme:
-ric = king [Kathrin McCann 2018 Anglo-Saxon Kingship and Political Power, page 77].
Usage:
A thegn named Cyneric witnessed a charter issued by King Eadwig on 17 May 959: “✠ Ego Cyneric minister” [John Kemble 1848 Codex Diplomaticus Aevi Saxonici 6: 22 (number 1224)].
So I found out about that Evil Magical Marriage Book “Deal with the Elf King”. Naturally I had to draw my OCs with it.
