Throughout the years, Logan had mastered the ability to walk lightly even with the heavy metal coating his bones. He knew how to go unseen, knew how to track someone without them knowing he was there. It had certainly come in handy throughout the years, and it had proven to be an asset through his work with the X-Force. He could take out the people who needed taking out long before they knew enough to warn their allies, could ensure that every job was as easy as the last.
Tonight’s job should have been similar. The man in question was a scientist, intent on turning mutant DNA into a serum similar to the one given to Captain America. Logan, of course, wasn’t about to let such a thing happen. He’d tracked the man to a warehouse he’d been using as a makeshift lab and spent the last few days surveying the exterior intently. Tonight, he was planning on making his move, but first... It seemed like he had something else to take care of.
He heard the footfalls behind him long before they got close, tensing at the sound. When they were close enough, he whirled around with his claws out, teeth bared in preparation. At the sight of a familiar red and black suit, he sighed. He didn’t retract his claws, didn’t lower his hand; just because he recognized the person approaching didn’t mean he’d decided not to stab him. “Wilson,” he growled lowly, “the fuck are you doing here?”
