even after a few years of dating, and now a few more of marriage, kyungsoo stood by the promise he’d made to you.
you remembered it as though it were yesterday.
it was back in college where you’d first met do kyungsoo. the shy, but calming guy who soon became a good friend of yours. you’d walk to classes together, meet for coffee afterwards, and sometimes study late into the night beside one another.
the fluttery feelings of affection blossomed in no time between the two of you, but kyungsoo was the first to take a step. he’d been your close friend for long enough to know your love for roses and warm coffee. so, on that fateful morning, he’d taken roses that grew in the area of your favourite coffee shop as he waited for you.
once you’d arrived, kyungsoo had placed the small bunch of red roses into your hand and smiled.
“i want to be with you, y/n. not just as your friend, but as your person. i want to be there for you no matter rain or shine. i want to make you happy and bring you roses everyday.”
today, you pass by a vase of roses as you prepare breakfast in the kitchen. the scent of freshly made coffee is strong, and the house is warm.
“kyungsoo! jang-mi! breakfast is ready!” you call, as you place kyungsoo’s cup of coffee and a pink sippy cup on the table.
a/n: jang-mi means rose in korean, so i thought it’d be a cute baby name hehe, hope u like it n support kyungsoo’s first solo album!! his voice is so pretty :(
