my @d20exchange gift for @cryptidcaptain of fig and ayda’s iconic first kiss!

Page one: Ayda displays a scroll, saying, "This is a contract. It's very simple." Fig cuts in, "Is this about the library card, 'cause I took it out in a different name?" "No, no, no," Ayda says, and goes on to overexplain the terms in the background. "Okay, yeah," Fig says. "Great, so no inferences. That's the clause. If you would please sign there?" Fig signs her name.

Page two: The scroll snaps up and combusts in Ayda's hands. "Very well. Some actionable information." Pausing to blush, Ayda continues, "At any waking moment, outside of combat, that you and I have been together, if you had tried to… kiss me on the mouth- It would have been… received favorably." Fig turns bright red.

Page three: Fig spins around to rummage in her jacket. Ayda says, "Bear in mind, you are under contract. You're not allowed to make any inferences or assumptions about how I feel or anything else. You've signed that. That's magical law. So, there's that-" Fig holds up her own hastily scribbled contract that says, "If you make fun of me, I'll give you a wet willy." Ayda studies it. "Legally, this doesn't necessarily have the structure of a contract. It's more of just a threat." Fig takes Ayda by the chin and says, "Just so you know, I've never done this as myself before."

Page four: Fig kisses Ayda, whose flaming hair swells out, then skateboards away to hide behind a tree. Ayda looks around and goes, "Is it normal for people to run away after that?"

Page five: Fig slinks out, saying, "I'm really sorry. I'm so used to being other people and this is absolutely terrifying." Ayda says, "Can I get another shot at that? It was perfect. I think I can do better." Fig smirks. "Yeah, why don't you show me?"

Page six: They come together in another fiery kiss.

the tray was originally going to hold a cocktail or a matcha set, but sidney's self-realisation moment of "I WANT AN ICE CREAM !" necessarily switched it over to a sundae

there are two items from the dropout merch store tangled up in the garbage (though kind of hard to distinguish) + plugg's goggles

sid is captain morgan-ing on a warfare whitney helmet >:)

the ground is littered with grenade pins

it's the pink cacti of baustin, new texas! i still love the cast losing it over brennan's location names for this campaign

and a photo from earlier in the process because i'm tickled by the side-by-side comparison of the pencil sketch and the start of the digital lines
