Introducing, Emily! Another one of the main characters for my Kirby oc stuff titled Digital Daydreams and Networking Nightmares.

Here's a little summary! More in depth writings will be below the cut!

The granddaughter of Nightmare, Emily holds a job under her family's business as the new customer service representative. Taking after her uncle, Emily retains charming and sleazy attitude to her customers. At least she comes off like that when nothing goes wrong, which more than often does! Despite her rather amateur nature, she's still able to perform well for the company (somehow). She's perceived as somewhat of a nepo baby by her co-workers due to her background. She doesn't seem too bothered by it, although. she does wish to be seen as more than her family's background. She doesn't seem to care right now, after all, what's the point when your reputation from birth was already 6 feet under? It's not like she has her own dreams for a life outside of her reach.

This one might be a little bit more yappy since I get to talk a little bit about this odd little species I've kinda made, a lot of just, shit i made up I'll be honest but there is like, 5 sentences about nightmare so uhhhh yay! (it's still a very big work in progress though!)

As stated in the brief intro, Emily is the granddaughter of Nightmare Wizard. She has a Mom, and an Uncle. (That being Sales guy from the anime!)

She's pretty young, at least for her "species" but roughly the equivalent of her mid 20s, probably about 25. Despite having an ominous family background her mother (and in conjunction grandad) weren't bad. At least when it comes to raising a kid, she wasn't neglected or anything of the sorts, if anything she was cherished. If you want your family legacy to continue it wouldn't be optimal to forget your kid exists. She was a bit sheltered though, for her sake and the family's. Because of this, most of her friends grew to be the employees and monsters of NME. While her home did everything it could to keep her in place, Emily wished to explore. If such a large enterprise existed, that had to imply the tons upon tons of planets to discover. But she couldn't really just get up and leave. And unfortunately, her family history made it extremely hard to find a job outside that of her family. What was perceived as a normal life for Emily is perceived as anything but normal to outside the family.

At first she believed it to be just a product of a bad resume. Maybe the next place will accept her, maybe she just needs an internship. But rejection letter after rejection letter began to slowly chip away at her hope for a life outside of her heritage. And after what felt like years of attempting to leave, Emily had realized she would not be perceived as anything BUT a decent of Nightmare. And that really gets to you after some time. So instead of rejecting what she's perceived as, she embraced it, for better or worse This is roughly where Emily stands right now. Although she grows to hate her job as the days go by, she can get away with a lot of things. Bothering her co workers, trash talking kids on anonymous user forms, having a perpetual smile that puts her co workers on edge. She has fun. And most of her co-workers don't want to mess with their boss' kid. She finds a sense of pride in this isolation she's decorated for herself. But doesn't really enjoy the fun of being locked up in a cage.

It wasn't till rather recently that Emily's new co-workers (Ms Recluse, Hemorra, and Helix) joined the company. And Emily has never been more ecstatic about them. Actual people from the outside world! Only issue being, from the eyes of those three, she's a little nepotism baby who does whatever she wants and while they're technically right, there seems to be at least an attempt to better the friendship between them. Are her efforts fruitful? Partially. It takes a while to get adjusted to such an eccentric girl who may or may not be responsible for your job security.

A few little bonus things I don't know where to specifically put. Along with some little bonus notes about her like, species thing

Her glasses are (kinda) her eyes. They emote as if they were her eyes though. I do like to think she has eyes behind there though.

Her species doesn't need to sleep! At least in a traditional sense. She does sleep on occasion to "understand what the hype is about."

She also can not have dreams or nightmares. So the times of rest are just her "Fast traveling"

She is stupidly good at fps games.

Like the rest of her family, she can use magic. Although she's still very new to it. She likes to stylize her magic as if it were a rifle. She thinks it looks cool. The "bullets" are like heavily concentrated bits of magic. While not deadly, you can at least guarantee some unpleasant dreams the next time you sleep.

She also is very fragile, she can not take a hit. Most likely why her weapon of choice is a bit more long distance.

She styles her bangs after her Uncle, she thinks it will help with sales.

Yes she also keeps the permanent :3 face on her at all times, her co workers hate it.

Introducing Eva Recluse! One of the main characters in my little kirby story thing called Digital Daydreams and Network Nightmares (or D2N2)

A more in depth summary is below the cut! If you don't wanna read all that, that's fine! Here's a tldr :]

An arachnid lacking the web binding skills that most her species posses. Eva Recluse turned to the world of science instead of the arcana and began working under Nme. Using her technical skills, she gave herself the extra hands she lacked while furthering her research to make a new, and much more obedient monster for the company. Despite her co-worker's attitudes to their job, Eva considers herself to be in the perfect spot to prove her worth. To who exactly? Neither her coworkers nor she knows, or at the least she refuses to acknowledge who.

And, for a little more in depth..

Eva Recluse is the same species of bug people that Taranza is. While I don't really have evidence for this, I like to think that for their spider web magic, the 6 hands really help in performing spells and creating webs. While spells can still be cast, they are much, much more difficult to handle and properly cast compared to the 6 handed folk.

Eva was born with only two of her hands. While it isn't seen as a taboo or anything of the such, but Eva did struggle in certain parts of her class. Growing older, Eva grew more frustrated with her inabilities to preform silk magic and she began to lean to the scientific fields as a way to help her with the whole, lacking hands part.

Years pass and Recluse finds herself drifting farther and farther away into her own obsessions. Eventually she left her home town and began to look for places for her to flourish. And what better way than joining a morally ambiguous and kinda shady company that would loveeeee to have you here! After receiving a card from her now co-worker, Eva (now more commonly referred to as Ms Recluse) works under Nme inventing tools and monsters for the company.

As a few months pass Recluse grew more ambitious in her creations, obsessing over the idea of creating a monster greater than before. A monster unlike the past attempts that had ended up in failure or worse, betrayal. After months of sleepless nights and failures, Eva's greatest creation was made! A goopy and highly adaptive puffball who was named Patches.

Proud of her proof of excellence, Eva continued to take care and "Upgrade" her latest monster. She had to take care of it, after all, this was her proof. Proof of her worth, proof to her neighbors that she could be as capable as them, proof to her co-workers that she was as, if not smarter than them. It had to be protected. But, the purpose of an adaptive murder machine is to kill. And as the days passed of her taking care of Patches, the more she grew uneasy of her choices. The thoughts of failure weigh heavy on her mind, but the urge to prove herself was far stronger.

Alas, those back home didn't need proof she was like every other resident. Her co-workers didn't need her to show off. The only one she had to prove her worth to was herself. But that is a far harder idea for her to admit than to continue her work.

That's (for the most part) all i have about her atm! I do have a few sketches and concept things that I can put down here, along with some extra little facts that I don't really know where to put.

Eva's scarf was made by her tia, she's kept it with her ever since she left town.

Her fangs and claws can produce a necrotic venom, while she doesn't have a weapon (at the moment) she is not afraid to bite and scratch if worst comes to worse.

Eva loves different types of spicy food, it's one of the few reasons her co workers never eat her food.

Eva has a ton of knowledge on the constellations on popstar.

Her extra mechanical hands are often used to keep Patches or Emily away from her while she works.
