Things Noticed in D3: The Might Ducks P2
All the ducks share a locker room. Which wouldnât be weird but you can see that the Varsity team has no girls on it. So, is it awkward?Â
Side note, the ducks seem to be the only team in all movies that have girls. Weird choice but ok.
I agree with most people about Orion over Bombay. However, I do have one issue with him that I will come back to later.
This movie really makes me miss Jesse. He may have been a spitfire but he could read people well and he would see right through the BS.Â
So, did Orion move Adam or was that decided after they saw him play. It feels like it would have been something decided before the first practice. There is a fic that states his dad used his money to get him on varsity and I kinda believe it.Â
Also, it hurts to see cause I know Adam has always considered himself an outcast. I mean he is the ârich boyâ around a bunch of lower income people. I feel like he only followed the varsity so much because he felt like he was being pushed into that position.Â
Also, you can tell he isnât happy about making the team. Right after he confirms it he almost scoffs. My poor boy is constantly being pushed on the outside.
Julie really deserved the main goal position but I also think it was the best thing for Goldberg too because he was getting overly cocky. Bombay really showed him favoritism and I think it went to his head. So much so that he expected the position to be handed to him.Â
Bombay kinda effed all of them up mentally in a way. Not only with Goldberg but I think he did with Charlie too. Before he had the C, Charlie acted like the Captain. Like back in original when he welcomed Adam. The C was just a letter. But Bombay put so much power behind that letter that Charlie losing it felt like losing a part of himself.Â
Guy does not get enough credit. He is a damn good player. Plus heâs a catch looks wise. I can see why Connie fell for him.
The fact that the team was disappointed in Charlie losing his C just shows you how much they valued him as their Captain. Itâs really sweet. I really wish they focused more on the friendship dynamics in this movie.Â
I do wonder why they switched the old sage in the three movies. From Hans to Jan to Hans. They donât even mention Jan in this movie. I mean Iâll be honest watching it as a kid I barely noticed the change but youâd think theyâd mention something.Â
I legit thought the actor who played Hans had died during this movie. Until I looked it up later and found heâs still alive today.Â
Everytime I see Kenny
Adam looks so sad being at the varsity table. Also, this movie totally proves Adam is a complete follower. Either that or someone is forcing him to stay in Varsity. His father? His own bad self-worth?
Yeah, Charlie, don't help Kenny. Just prank them.
Do the cheerleaders have names. They seem to just be there to look pretty and allow Luis his slime moments.
I hate the under the table thing. Luis is better than that.
So are we to assume Julie either never eats sweets or over ate so much that she puked.
How did Cole not tell Charlie was planning something. He didn't even try to act subtle.
The rest of the Ducks don't move until almost everyone is out of the lunchroom. What was that contributing guys?
Since when is skating laps a drill sargent thing, Charlie? I'm pretty sure that's a common thing. I could be wrong.
Of course, he's a Leo. That is the least surprising thing.
The announcer is Brighton from the Nanny.
They really had Adam sit in the middle of the group so they could watch him.
You can tell that besides Fulton everyone is kinda getting fed up with Charlie's bs. Averman telling him off seems weird to me honestly.
The fact that Adam stands up and claps when Charlie scores. No wonder people ship them. Adam your heart eyes are showing.
Adam is clapping and looks around to make sure no one notices.
They really have gotten cocky. Not just Charlie but all of them. I get the annoyance from Orion. They scored twice, and Goldberg was talking about ending the game. Like them of all people should know things can turn around fast in a game.
You think by now Luis could stop. Nice move jumping over the net. Also, they pick him up and ask if he's fine and then just watch him drop back to the ice. Luis' I love our team made me giggle.
Kenny immediately wanting to roast the ref is hilarious.
Julie's little songs in the goal are my favorite part.
Scooter comforts Adam as he watches his friends lose. That's really sweet.
I get that Charlie was pissed but he wasn't far off from striking Julie. He could have fucked her up.
It isn't a Ducks movie until they throw hands at each other once.
I don't agree with Orion chucking the puck, but he is right. Orion is so much better at coaching than Bombay.
When Riley punches his frozen jersey, Adam is right behind him, and he flinches away like he had been slapped.
Maybe I have trust issues, but I would not trust people who I just pranked.
Also, I think this is just how he looks but Adam looks like he has bags under his eyes. Like he hasn't been sleeping. Also I wonder if that varsity crowded him to the front so they ducks would believe them more. Cause they agree once Banks says it's cool.
Someone else pointed it out, but Banks does look like he's gonna be sick. He also looks down the entire time in shame.
Say what you will, but that ant prank is clever.
So, did Dwayne drag Cole back to the varsity dorms, or did he wiggle back cause that seems like quite a ways.
The ants seem to be talking. They say something like "oo yummy."
Are the varsity just extremely heavy sleepers cause I feel like you would notice something crawling on you and biting you before they actually did.
The Ducks really said let me stand here and incrimate myself. That seems much safer than the alternative.
I don't know why Charlie had any reason not to trust Adam. He's known the guy for years, and yet he really believes he would hurt people like that? Charlie, it's a good thing you're pretty and good at hockey cause your logic skills are lacking big time.
Also, Adam is 100 percent a follower who just wants to be told what to do. That's why he's so good at hockey cause he's a rule follower introvert.
When Julie says she hates ties, Scooter smiles. He's really like, "This is the one I want. She seems easy to please."
I wonder if Adam feels disconnected by the use of his last name. Many times in the movies, he is only addressed as Banks. Sometimes Banksie, but very rarely as Adam. Also, Charlie seems to call him Banks more in this one and not his name. Like he's forever connected to his rich parents instead of being seen as Adam.Â
I really wish we had seen the scene where Adam comes back to the group. One minute heâs on varsity and the next heâs skating with the Ducks. We also see him at Hanâs funeral but it seems incomplete.Â
In the skating scene Adam is right next to Charlie when they put Bombay in the trash can. Charlie even has his arm around him. I wish they explored their reconnection more. Â
I donât know why Emilio is so prevalent on the poster for this movie. Heâs barely in it!Â
After the their scholarships are reinstated. Bombay mentions he has some matter in chicago to handle. It didnât click right away but in the second movie Dean says heâs from Chicago, Illinois. Bombay basically told them he was going to get Dean.
Also I love Adamâs little smirk at his nickname. âYes, I am your Banksie.â
Ngl the sports montage scene from this movie might be my favorite.Â
When Orion brings out the jerseyâs and starts handing them he tosses Adam his and they all crowd up. Charlie at that time crowds next to Adam and even puts his arm around him. (sorry my shipper heart canât help it.)
The ducks uniforms are very interesting in comparison to the warriors. You canât really tell who is who when they wore their warrior uniforms cause their numbers werenât visible. However, in the Duck uniforms you can tell each player apart because their number is front and center. To me it builds a connection to the characters more cause I can tell who is where.Â
When the ducks do the touch of the ice. Charlie skates in behind Julie but moves to be behind Adam in the circle. Coincidence? Probably but it was an interesting choice.Â
Goldberg is such a better defenseman than he is a goalie. Plus you can tell how much more the team is in sync with each other vs their first game. You can see this with how they clear the puck around the goal and how Julie reminds them to continue.Â
Now that Charlie and Orion are on the same side and not butting heads Orion has taken on more of a mentor role verse an antagonist.Â
Adamâs dive to stop the puck is an amazing move but damn that had to have hurts.Â
Charlie has definitely changed through this movie. He earned his captain C fair and square and it shows with how he takes on Riley and how he is smart about the goal.Â
After they win and Charlie kisses Linda he looks at her for a second before leaving and skating back to his team! Charlie that is not the way you show affection, you dolt! He doesnât even look back once. Like goddamn, I guess the Ducks trump all.Â
