What weapon(s) do you plan to play in monhun rise?
Dual Blades, the weapons I’ve always sticked with since Tri! But I dabble into Insect Glaive and Longsword on occasion.
I played the demo, I’m not too sure how I feel about the wire bug mechanics, but I can’t wait to go zipping around and pile on the elemental damage.
Have you tried Phantasy Star Online 2?, if so what did you think?
i haven’t! i’ve play some phantasy star games before though. i don’t dislike them but i don’t like MMOs in general so. probably not gonna check it out anytime soon or, ever tbh
I recently was asked what the origins of Object Head is and I realized that although anecdotealy I have an idea I'm not able to corroborate it with anyone (because no one's talking about it as far as I can tell). I was wondering if you, or anyone you know, might have an idea on how the popularity of Object Heads in art got started and progressed to where it is now.
Actually, we made an essay about the origins of object heads that was an extra in the object head zine 2017 edition! I’ll be putting up that essay as a page later on this month so watch out for that.
Long story short, however, is that object heads were a thing for a /very/ long time - well into the 1300s (and further depending on your definition) with mythology, moving into surrealist art and the emergence of pop art. It seems like object heads evolved from different parts of the world and formed a sort of convergent evolution of ideas.
What was your favorite part of Hollow Knight?
just in general exploring, seeing areas i couldnt get to and knowing i’ll get an ability to get there eventually, just super exciting, also a good chunk of the bosses are really cool and fun to get good at fighting which really shines in the recent boss rush stuff they added
d3vinity
but its so pretty
Do it!
I WILL
d3vinity replied to your post “I know I’m in the minority but I REALLY don’t like the Nintendo...”
I was getting the vibe that the switch isn't supposed to be a portable console in the same sense that the 3ds is. Rather just being portable while still running big games so as to compete with Sony and Microsoft by way of convenience rather than power. In this sense I feel like the N3ds is still their current main line of true portable gaming. What do you think?
I’m too lazy to google it to confirm my memory, but I remember Nintendo claiming the DS wasn’t going to replace the Game Boy, and we all know how that turned out. Either way, the confirmation will be what console gen 8 of Pokemon gets announced for.
There is an alternate ending to that Yu-Gi-Oh post that doesn't end in a pot of greed.
I know, I think I’ve reblogged it before, but the pot of greed ending really spoke to me. I love both versions.
