I think Marcy and OMORI would be very good friends despite his muteness. OMORI is an extremely intelligent and smart kid despite not having much education (besides Homeschooling), OMORI can canonically speak french. And not only that, he’s actually emotionally intelligent and clever. Using a lot of unique things to his advantage.
I really hate that the OMORI fandom underestimates SUNNY’s mind sm because he’s severely ill: he’s still a very smart kid, his brain structure is excellent for an isolated, depressive, teenager. He just needs a bit more catching up and he’ll be good to go! SUNNY has actually learned to be independent without MARI or anyone—not like he had a choice.
SUNNY is still capable of feeling happiness, joy, and connections. He just needs help and structure.
