helpppp idk how to budget my animated show okay so i have 2 million dollars:

-i wanna give 1 million to the High Class voice actors that could’ve easily been replaced with new ppl trying to break into the industry for a fraction of the cost

-i also wanna give the second million to getting the rights for using shoegaze music that doesnt rlly add much to the show in a meaningful way bc when that music is playing the animated scenes just look like slide shows and its awkward

-i do NOT wanna pay the animators ANYTHING

i mourn what yellowjackets could’ve been. i mourn the gritty, cultish, horror video in the first season. i mourn shared psychosis. i mourn not knowing who was going to live and who was going to die. i mourn a group of feral teenage girls no longer lost in the woods, but becoming the woods and you just walked into the wrong damn clearing. i miss all of the girls being horrible and reveling in this horrible nature that’s shared. i miss the pack mentality. i miss how the antler queen could’ve been a mass shared hallucination. i miss not knowing if the girls were straight off their rocker or if the wilderness was indeed a real entity. i miss the darkened vibe of the pilot. i mourn what yellowjackets could’ve been.
