Wizard Activists, the Snatchers are coming.
I.C.E. has announced that this weekend there will be major immigration raids in ten U.S. cities: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Denver, Miami, New Orleans, New York, Baltimore, Chicago and Atlanta. (And smaller raids are continuing to happen across the U.S.)
We know you don’t want to sit on the sidelines, camping in the Forest of Dean while stories of families being torn apart filter through the radio. There are three things you can do right now to help:
1. Join local immigrant-serving organizations where you live. Your local immigrant community leaders are the people who will be able to tell you how to physically show up and make a difference. Join their email lists, volunteer for their events, and be part of building the connections every community needs to protect immigrants.
2. Read and share this thread from United We Dream with clear actions and resources for undocumented folks and their allies.
3. TONIGHT: Attend a Lights for Liberty rally near you and commit to work together to protect your community.
Finally: stay tuned. Soon, we’ll be rolling out a way for you to utilize the strengths of your Hogwarts houses to help #StopTheSnatchers and #CloseTheCamps. These days are dark, but your wands burn bright.

Channel your inner Ravenclaw and defend immigrants by writing a letter to the editor asking elected officials to close the camps and implement sanctuary policies. Some tips on writing your letters make sure they are relevant and short. Also, share your letter on social media using the #DAFightsBack to raise even more awareness.
