The Lion's Den With Abel and Cedric
Wonderland. How else was Cedric supposed to explain to him what Wonderland was? It was a timeless place in which no one was practically sane. He was more than worried to be taking Abel to his home. He had avoided coming back to this place, and taking anyone with him, for almost a full year. But before Abel had gotten amnesia he had constantly asked about what Cedric's home was like. About what his family was like. And Cedric remembered that and finally decided it wouldn't hurt to take him home. Where the rabbit hole had dropped them was on a faded red bridge that was attached to a large castle. The castle was huge but yet Cedric felt so small and so alone and he hated it. Even with Abel by himself he was beyond nervous. "Welcome to my home I guess," Cedric mumbled, taking Abel's hand and pulling him through the heart shaped archway, not letting go of Abel's hand until the two of them had walked through a pair of double doors that led inside the large castle. "Mum?" He called out, looking at the too familiar walls.
There was silence for only a split second before a few cardsmen came out from the different archways through the castle. Lining up on both sides of Cedric and Abel, they made a barrier between them and any other exit. To Cedric they made it obvious about where his mom was. "So. My mum's at her thrown. I don't know where my dad or sisters are either. So we're just going to have to settle for my mum. And these guys are guards. They're three sets of 52 of them, 156 in total. They listen to whatever my mum and any of us say. But are terrified of my mum more." Hopefully none of what Cedric said frightened Abel, so without dwelling at the spot or on the moment, Cedric reached for Abel's hand and smiled softly, "You can leave your bags here too. They'll put everything in a room for you." As soon as Abel was done deciding whether to leave his bags or take them, Cedric pulled him down the line of cardsmen and into a wide open room that was nearly completely red. And in the top center was a red thrown with a short woman sitting in it. "Hello mum," Cedric said licking his lips after he spoke.
The woman in front of them smiled, rising and stepping down the steps from her throne. Immediately walking up and hugging Cedric with a wide smile. "Oh, it's been too long since I've seen you, Cedric," her voice was sensual and serious showing no kindness whatsoever. So when she pulled away from the hug, her eyes finally settled on the boy beside her son. "Oh? And you brought company?" She asked her smile fading, "You didn't tell me you were bringing a friend, Cedric."
