The platform
Daata Editions commissions artist video, sound, poetry and web. This new and innovative way to collect art is designed specifically to be a native platform to a new generation of artists who work with moving image and sound. Limited edition artworks can be viewed and acquired as digital downloads.
Daata Editions has a dedicated section on the platform, 'Curated', through which guest curators (individuals, galleries and arts organisations) introduce new artists' works, in a way that promotes a creative dialogue between the platform and contemporary art practices, and introduces artist to the site and offer a context. Curators include: yours mine & ours, Metaphysics, Zata Banks, Legacy Russell, Katherine Finerty, New Contemporaries, Gutter Records, bitforms gallery.
