Poppy couldn’t help the smile that appeared on her lips at Rohini’s excitement, causing her to wrap her arms tightly around her, nesting herself in the warmth of her hug. It was strange, she felt different from what Poppy remembered, before the transformation. They had been the same temperature, now Poppy just felt cold in contrast to her. How was she going to tell her? That it wasn’t just some miraculous cure. “Yeah, I think I do,”  she responded. She definitely did. “Do you think we’ve ever met them? That they live among us and we just don’t know? Or that they have their own little world far from us?”

                  ❛ &. ┊     It’s  a  light-hearted  scenario;  the  awning  of  a  gallery  protects  visitors  from  burning  their  skin  in  the  harsh  sunlight  of  a  summery  saturday,  slender  frame  comfortably  settled  on  a  wooden  bench  and  enjoying  the  few  cool  breezes  that  come  from  a  nearby  cluster  of  trees,  and  hands  digging  a  silver  spoon  into  pile  of  ice  cream,  the  fruity  colours  starkly  contrasting  the  turquoise  sky.  Summer  has  arrived  with  incomparable  vigour  and  she’s  been  almost  tempted,  this  morning,  to  don  an  airy  dress.  Opted  for  a  pair  of  wide  legged  trousers  instead,  a  thin  shirt  atop,  and  it’s...  an  interesting  sight  to  see  her  dressed  all  in  white.  It  definitely  feels  cooler  than  to  don  her  regular  black  suit.

“  Have  you  ever  been  to  the  Leslie-Lohman  Museum  in  New  York,  Rohini?  ”  she  asks  and  masks  the  subtle  curvature  of  her  lips  barely  the  insinuation  that  lies  underneath.  “  We  could  go  there  next  weekend.  Have  a  tiny  road  trip  along  the  way.  ”

Not that his current situation was proof of that. Alexander had made the choices he had without even considering what he would've thought about it and end the end he couldn't trust that he wouldn't do it again. Did it hurt? Of course. He'd promised himself to never fall for a shadowhunter and he'd broken that promise to himself. But this warlock didn't need to know that. She wasn't there to listen to his problems. If a warlock came to him there was most likely something going on that he needed to be made aware of and whatever that was would be his focus and not his own broken heart. Though, Magnus could admit that it would be difficult for him to focus on something else. "The challenge in life is to find that reason. But I'm sure you didn't come here for advice.        “this was a GARRISON from the japanese occupation, of course something terrifying happened here. but that’s a GIVEN - and that’s not what i meant by STRANGE.” once again, he struggled to explain it - which was frustrating because he felt like he should know and fully understand this sense that he possessed by now - but for some reason didn’t. firstly, this wasn’t within his remit - he can go on and on about explainable science, the human body, the tiniest microscopic morsel of the human brain for god’s sake - but not THIS. and once again when he tried navigating through his own memories, the same block of static PUSHED HIM OUT like there was something off limits within his own head. aiden let out a disgruntled sigh and straigtened his shoulders, “you tell me - do YOU sense anything unusual?”
