I feel like Hawks is smart but he has the potential to be oblivious to stuff that the commission wouldn't have taught him or let him branch out enough to learn on his own since he didn't leave the commission till he was around 18 and started living there when he was 7 so it leads me to this..

DabiHawks Headcannon:

Hawks will be in the kitchen one day struggling to try and make pasta dough with egg substitutes like olive oil and water or something because that's the first thing that came up when he googled it and he starts babbling to Dabi while he is making their dinner about how he can't eat eggs cause it makes him sad and want to throw up when he sees people cracking eggs because he thinks their killing baby chicks and stuff and Dabi tells him about how Keigo eats chicken nuggets all the time and it's basically the same thing and his response is "yeah but it's different because chicken nuggets are like hamburgers, they have white stuff inside, their not made out of real chickens" like the thing where hotdogs are made of pig not dog. And Dabi will have to explain to him that they are ground up chicken and Hawks just stands there tearing up like. "Did they at least have good lives?" And Dabi's just blunt like "probably not, most of them live in confinement and closed spaces for shitty short lives till they end up at the chopping block" and Hawks just starts crying.
