Of course people are interpreting Trick Weeke's posts in the worst light...
You do know the Evanuris exist right? That they're literally part of the CREATION MYTH of Thedas. They're gods no matter how much Solas says they're not, because he's in denial about his own nature unless you REALLY push him in DAV's ending.
Alternatively, no one proves the maker exists because you can't prove something that doesn't exist, exists. Though there is the argument to be made as per Solas' mural that the Titans are the maker, and the first children are the spirits/ancient elves, who became jealous of the dwarves and stole from the Titan to make their own physical bodies.
Humans, as far as I am aware, have NOTHING left of their original culture and religion pre exodus to Thedas. So, all their culture and religion comes from being in Thedas, who we have established only had elves and dwarves before hand. They have been here for THOUSANDS of years, coexisting to varying degrees of success.
We also know that any marriage between an elf and a non-elf, results in the child being whatever race the non -elf parent is. And we know what is in the Chant lines up with what actually happened... So I think (ironically, given 'modern' Thedas' views on elves) Solas' followers intermarried with humans, passing on their version of events in what eventually became Andrastianism.
Like, what I find hilarious is everyone on tumblr is upset that the games disproved all but that Chantry.... but on other places (ie reddit) they're upset that the games disproved the 'Christian analogue' down to saying the devs are leftists who hate christians.
Because even Andraste herself- well, her myth borrows at least some of what happened to Mythal if not all of it. There's no real proof she even existed! Someone (probably Drakon, who compiled and added to the formalized Chant) could have put the legend of Mythal on top of the big slave rebellion of the time. Even when we go to the Temple of Sacred Ashes, the spirits there are reflecting what WE expected to see. It's built on top of Mythal's temple! Entirely possible those are actually Mythal's ashes there!
In my opinion the Chantry follows a monotheistic evolution of Evanuris worship focused on Solas. So, in some ways, Solas IS the maker. Much like in some ways the Titans are the Maker. The elves who still worshipped the Evanuris didn't do quite so much intermarrying, thus why those legends didn't get passed down that branch.
Even if Andraste did exist, chances are the Maker she had contact with, was because she was an old god baby of Dumat/Dirthamen. So... an elven god spirit ala Kieran who she could talk to. We know the old gods were the elven gods. It's elves and titans all the way down! .
(And this doesn't even go into Elgar'nan's sun themed father, who could also be an inspiration for the Maker)
We have to remember that this isn't the case of colonization after never having contact- these are multiple peoples, religions and cultures that co-evolved over thousands of years. Who have intermarried and passed down that culture and religious beliefs.
The only surviving people who are visibly elven are those who didn't intermarry and formed their own unique cultural identity. But there's a non-zero chance there are a LOT of people who look human who can also trace their lineage back to Arlathan, even if the evidence has long been destroyed (the magisters -cough- dreamer founders -cough-)
