Warnings:sick child, Bill being the best dad ever, fluffy goodness
“Billy, let me up for minute”, I nudged the red head. “Mhm no” Bill mumbled in my hair. “It’s almost ten and Dommy hasn’t walked in yet. Think something is wrong”, I said. Bill rolled over, cuddling the small pillow. “Be back” I said as I walked down the hall to Don’s room. Bathroom was empty, living room was quiet. “Please be okay”, I said as I opened her bedroom door.
She was laying down her with blanket to her face, stuffed dragon, uncle Charlie got her in hand. Ginger hair was a wild mess like most mornings, then she started to cough. I ran over to her crib and gently got her up. “Aww baby, you okay?” She looked up at me, eyes were pitiful, dark under eyes. Oh no, don’t feel good at all. “Dada!”, she started to whine. “You want your daddy? Come on, he’s still snoozing bean”, I picked her up. “Freddie!”, she whined for her stuffie. “I got him, love”
“Bill, wake up!”, I shook him. “Mhm what’s wrong?”, Bill shot up, looking confused. “Dada”, Dominique cried, crawling up Bill’s legs. “Aww what’s wrong, bunny?”, Bill petted her back. “Can’t tell but her eyes are pitiful. Look at her, Bill”, I said, getting back in bed with them. Dom was cuddled into Bill’s chest with Freddie in clutch. “I’m gonna owl Dad and see if he can come for a home visit.”, I kissed Bill’s cheek.
“Oh thank Merlin, you’re here dad! Come in”, I grabbed his hand. “Of course, anything for my loves”, he smiled. “She’s upstairs in bed with Bill. It was almost ten am and she hadn’t bursted in demanding Bill to get up. Was breathing with her mouth open, sounds stopped up, sorta warm. She’s whinny”, I rambled. “Y/n, first thing I need you to calm down and breathe. Dom will be fine, probably a summer cold alright?”, he held my shoulders. “I’m sorry, Daddy. She’s just hardly ever gets sick and now she’s look so pitiful and sad”, I sighed.
“Papy!”, Dom whined, looking up from Bill’s chest. “Hi doll baby, heard you’re not feeling good”, my dad walked over to the bed. She shook her head. “Sorry love, let’s fix that so you can annoy your mommy for me again”, he giggled. She gave a small smile back. Bill held her, kissing her head every so often. I was a nervous wreck and Bill sensed it. He walked over to me, “She’s not gonna be sick forever, Sweetheart. Luckily her pappy is a healer”, Bill pulled me into his chest. “I know, just worry about my baby bean is all”, I sighed.
“Hey Peanut?” My dad said, making me tear away from Bill’s arms. “Yeah what’s up?”, I picked Dommy up. “Summer cold, she should be fine by tomorrow. If not let me know and I’ll come back, let her rest today, fluids. Try to get her to eat something small, okay?”, he replied. “Thank you, Daddy! You’re the best”, I kissed his cheek. “I try! Keep me updated on her. And for you bean, get better soon. Papy loves you and hopes you feel better”, he kissed her cheek and rubbed her back. “Go make breakfast, I’ll get her in the bath. Try to break her fever.”, Bill walked over. “Right. Here go to daddy, Bean”, I handed her over. I stopped at the door, “Go downstairs, love. I got her, promise”, Bill smiled.
Bill’s pov-
I got Dom in the tub, letting her play with a few toys. “Here’s your ducky, love”, I handed her the last toy. “Dank you”, she smiled, running the duck over the water. I smiled, sitting beside the tub. “Alright Bunny, time for daddy to wash your hair.”, I grabbed the cup. Dom stood there as I dried her off with the duck towel. “Come on, love bug”, I carried her to her room. I rubbed her forehead, “Still warm. You feeling okay, baby?”, I asked her. She looked up at me with sad eyes. “Sorry bunny”, I kissed her head. Dom laid down finally, I gently shut the door.
“Hey love”, I kissed Y/n’s lips. “Hi”, she smiled. I pulled her onto my lap and held her waist. “She any better, Billy?”, she asked. “Still warm, didn’t take her long to fell asleep after her bath”, I replied. Y/n nodded, leaning her head in my neck. Y/n was sleeping on the couch downstairs, decided to check on Dom. She was snoring with her dragon by her side. “You look a little better, my love”, I smiled. “Dada!”, she smiled, wiggling to get to me. “Well hi pumpkin!”, I reached in her crib to get her. “Daddy”, she smiled. “Is my baby all better now? Huh?”, I asked her, running my hand over her back.
“Come on, let’s go see mommy yeah?”, I kissed her cheek. She nodded. Y/n was snoring away, I sat Dom down. “Mama?”, Dom smiled. “Huh? Dommy! You’re up”, Y/n lit up and grabbed Dom. “All better!”, Dom giggled. “Oh that’s great, Pumpkin! I’m so glad!”, Y/n hugged her. I smiled at them and sat beside of them. “Thanks for taking care of her today”, Y/n kissed my cheek. “We can’t have our pumpkin all sick can we?”, I grinned.
